Make it happen, pls. No clones, all that is needed is <4 Protheans found somewhere in stasis.
I don't see how that's more farfetched than the Collectors returning. ¯(°_o)/¯
inb4 it nullifies Javik's story.

So far, what do we know about how Protheans behave?

then how would we get around the "I am the last Prothean" dialog... unless they all die.
Maybe Javik didn't know he wasn't the last one left?
At some point in the war, I'm sure Shepard would've told him (and someone would've told him, the whole war is resting on his knowledge of everything), because telling someone they're not an endangered species beats getting hammered on verbablly and being called and primitive all the time, and above all, getting the "do you have any idea what it feels like to" thrown at you, despite knowing exactly how it feels.

We know how Javik behaves, and we have some clue from his flashbacks, primitive.

I'm a bit confused as to why you engaged in this argument with me, as it seems we are in the same boat. From what I've gathered, you're not entirely against Protheans, you're against adding them without sufficient explanation and content to tell the story.
With all due respect, you did say that my claims were "so wrong" that they were "painful".
Anyway, that's exactly my approach. Glad that someone *glares at OP* managed to see that. And I'm glad to see there's someone on the other side that agrees with me. Yeah, I'm Anti-Prothean, sure, but it doesn't mean I'm absolutely against the notion, it just means that I don't believe they can be added in with existing information and knowledge. But if that information and knowledge was added to? That'd be a whole different story, and I'd probably even jump ship if it was viable enough.
Glad to see we're on the same page now

Protheans in their own right are unique.

What's unique other than their backstory and appearance? From the limited number of Prothean personalities that we've seen, they pretty much all fall into the arrogant pessimist archetype.

I was just referring to the claim that they are "impossible" to bring back, which I still believe is false. However, I now see that your view is not that Protheans are "impossible", but that they're "not currently possible", which I can respect far more.
It is refreshing to see someone who doesn't identify as Pro-thean to actually be open to expansion of the lore and inclusion of Protheans under logical and lore-consistent means. Though I do have to say that I don't think that using the anti-Prothean label is appropriate for you, as I've seen my share of that group and their posts on the subject mostly consist of "No" or "Ur stoopid 4 wntin Amateur-theans, trololololol". To use the anti-Prothean label is an insult to your position and is not properly recognizing your reasoning. I would suggest referring to yourself as something more suitable, like "Pr-open-thean" or "Airlock-Curious"; a new title would provide a better summary of your view and not group you in with the degenerate crowd that is associated with anti-Protheans.
I would also like to apologize for the needless conflict that arose from our conversation. Had I recognized your position from the beginning, our exchange would not have gotten as heated as it did. I appreciate your openness and I'm glad to see that there are people on the BSN who aren't needlessly stubborn in regards to Protheans.

What's unique about Volus other than that they are walking bowling balls?

I guess you missed my edited post.
As of right now, there's nothing about Protheans that really make them truly distinctive gameplay-wise. They can change that with future DLC, but that's entirely up to the developers' discretion. From what the game currently tells us about Protheans, there's nothing special about them that will improve the MP.
In short, there's no reason to include Protheans, and there's also no reason not to include Protheans. It's entirely up to the developer's discretion.

In short, there's no reason to include Protheans, and there's also no reason not to include Protheans. It's entirely up to the developer's discretion. It's fine if the only reason that you want Protheans is for the aesthetics or that you think it's "awesome." But other than that, there's really no other reason. I personally don't want Protheans, though that's probably due to my bias against Javik.

Yeah. Like a Cerberus combat engineer defector so we can set up one of those heavy duty turrets ourselves and let them see how they like it when those things are all over the God forsaken place.
