Make it happen, pls. No clones, all that is needed is <4 Protheans found somewhere in stasis.

I don't see how that's more farfetched than the Collectors returning. ¯(°_o)/¯

inb4 it nullifies Javik's story.

Yay, this thread. Again.

We know how Javik behaves, and we have some clue from his flashbacks, primitive.

then how would we get around the "I am the last Prothean" dialog... unless they all die.

Maybe Javik didn't know he wasn't the last one left?

At some point in the war, I'm sure Shepard would've told him (and someone would've told him, the whole war is resting on his knowledge of everything), because telling someone they're not an endangered species beats getting hammered on verbablly and being called and primitive all the time, and above all, getting the "do you have any idea what it feels like to" thrown at you, despite knowing exactly how it feels.

True but considering a example of cloning suggestion I made, it would counter this as well since Javik would not adress them real Protheans and they would not, even in DNA wise so again, the can be possible despite all the lore difficulties.

didn't they use the same strategy during their war with the Reapers ?

Sacrifice X colony so the fleet can prepare at Y colony then repeated it until they were "harvested"

Yes, and does any of that seem unique to you? That is the purpose of my question.

Yes protheans, and elcor would be awesome but I would be happy with new mp modes like actual missions like spartan ops from halo 4 or pvp while saying it just training simulaters. I mean am I the only one bored of mass effect mp even with new charters

I'm a bit confused as to why you engaged in this argument with me, as it seems we are in the same boat. From what I've gathered, you're not entirely against Protheans, you're against adding them without sufficient explanation and content to tell the story.

With all due respect, you did say that my claims were "so wrong" that they were "painful".

Anyway, that's exactly my approach. Glad that someone *glares at OP* managed to see that. And I'm glad to see there's someone on the other side that agrees with me. Yeah, I'm Anti-Prothean, sure, but it doesn't mean I'm absolutely against the notion, it just means that I don't believe they can be added in with existing information and knowledge. But if that information and knowledge was added to? That'd be a whole different story, and I'd probably even jump ship if it was viable enough.

Glad to see we're on the same page now :D

I was just referring to the claim that they are "impossible" to bring back, which I still believe is false. However, I now see that your view is not that Protheans are "impossible", but that they're "not currently possible", which I can respect far more.

It is refreshing to see someone who doesn't identify as Pro-thean to actually be open to expansion of the lore and inclusion of Protheans under logical and lore-consistent means. Though I do have to say that I don't think that using the anti-Prothean label is appropriate for you, as I've seen my share of that group and their posts on the subject mostly consist of "No" or "Ur stoopid 4 wntin Amateur-theans, trololololol". To use the anti-Prothean label is an insult to your position and is not properly recognizing your reasoning. I would suggest referring to yourself as something more suitable, like "Pr-open-thean" or "Airlock-Curious"; a new title would provide a better summary of your view and not group you in with the degenerate crowd that is associated with anti-Protheans.

I would also like to apologize for the needless conflict that arose from our conversation. Had I recognized your position from the beginning, our exchange would not have gotten as heated as it did. I appreciate your openness and I'm glad to see that there are people on the BSN who aren't needlessly stubborn in regards to Protheans.

What's unique other than their backstory and appearance? From the limited number of Prothean personalities that we've seen, they pretty much all fall into the arrogant pessimist archetype.

As of right now, there's nothing about Protheans that really make them truly distinctive gameplay-wise. They can change that with future DLC, but that's entirely up to the developers' discretion. From what the game currently tells us about Protheans, there's nothing special about them that will improve the MP.

What's unique about Volus other than that they are walking bowling balls?

Wow, umm... thank you. That actually means a lot to me to hear that. Thank you.

(I'm honest to God being sincere when I say that.)

I guess I'll take the time to apologize for pairing you with the "ending sux therefore Protheans are pawsible" group (which sadly, does in fact exist...). I'm definitely glad to have met on a more neutral ground. I hope there aren't any hard feelings between us, and at the very least, there are none on my part.

EDIT: Oh God, that just sunk in. Airlock Curious?! XD

I guess you missed my edited post.

In short, there's no reason to include Protheans, and there's also no reason not to include Protheans. It's entirely up to the developer's discretion. It's fine if the only reason that you want Protheans is for the aesthetics or that you think it's "awesome." But other than that, there's really no other reason. I personally don't want Protheans, though that's probably due to my bias against Javik.

Yeah, and there's no reason to please the people who want Protheans.

To keep the bussiness of those people now and in the future? I hope you never lead a bussiness because it will get run into the ground.

I think there is more reason to add them than not adding them. For example; people who want to play Protheans get to play Protheans, and for people who don't want to play Protheans nothing significant will change.

While it is a large part of it, I also do not want Protheans simply for my own personal enjoyment, I want it for everyone else that are Pro-theans.

My question to you is how any other added class have had anything unique to them, Volus maybe? Not less than Protheans but they got added nevertheless. The same logic goes to every not-vanilla version race that was brought to multilayer and I don´t think Bioware adds any race there without thinking about your question at first, nor would they had put Promethean to the game in the first place if they weren´t in some way unique. Every race is always different from another, they always have unique traits no matter what and Bioware has made sure it is that way.

Yeah.  Like a Cerberus combat engineer defector so we can set up one of those heavy duty turrets ourselves and let them see how they like it when those things are all over the God forsaken place.

Yeah exaclty and same went to Volus, still they were added, there was nothing special about them, nothing that made them stand out. Maybe the looks and size but that was all aesthethics at first so what would be different this time around. Your logic is fighting against itself. Only reason Volus were wanted because of aesthetics as powers were never revealed until the release of DLC so this is the same exact thing except Prometheans replacing Volus.

If they were cloned by the Salarians, they wouldn't be TRUE Prothean, thus not invalidating Javik, and allowing us to play Fake Living Protheans.

Besides, I think BioWare would gain more than they would lose by adding Protheans.
