In your opinion what has been the worst game you bought and why?

Mine was Risen. Oh boy what a mistake! I thought i'd try and get into other RPG's that aren't in Bioware's library of awesomesauce... So the first game i came across was Risen, the cover looked good, and the blurb sounded interesting and it was on sale (thank the 'maker'), but i can't believe how horrid everything is, the action, the characters (of who i've met so far), so bland PC who sounds like John Lennon, the story, everything.

Seriously guys it gives me nightmares.
So whats yours?

Not necassarily the worst game but it WAS my biggest dissapointment of the year...Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Anyone else play it? It was ok from a tactical shooter standpoint but it was too buggey and the AI were like superhuman, entirely too smart. They literally shot(and sometimes killed you) from almost a mile away...insane!!!

Halo ODST, mainly because it felt recycled. It was an okay game but there really wasn't much that was shockingly new.

Wolfenstein. A perfect example of how to make turn a good game with a huge community into a COD clone, effectively screwing over the community and making sure ID and Activision will now have to concentrate on selling games to kiddies, especially the console ones.

Oh, sorry. Right... Um... worst game of 2009?

Borderlands was severely disappointing. It wasn't bad, just maybe a little hyped up.

I disagree, that was a good game, until you get level 50, then it's boring. Although it did have one of the worst story lines ever.

Call of Duty: Madden foo... I mean Modern Warfare 2

Gave me flash backs to late 90s shooters. "The last game was a hit? Great! Release it again with new guns!"

Let's not  forget the better storyline, better graphics, better multiplayer, oh, and that it is a better game all around, but other than all that, yeah, it's pretty much the same game.

The Path was disappointing? Really? Was easily one of the more unique games I've ever come across.

Did you unlock the stories for each of the girls?

Brutal Legend for me too. Love the concept, love the characters, but by god is the story lacking. Gameplay also a bit flat. Sad that the makers of Psychonauts had to dumb themselves down to try to appeal to a wider market.

Oh gosh, Brutal Legend. So forgettable. Such a disappointment after Psychonauts.

Brutal Legends story was actually really funny at the beginning, then it got boring at the end and not funny.

Yes, it seemed as though he concentrated all his time into the first 5 hours then it just dribbles off.

Ending was major disappointment too. I hate those kind of endings.

Twist was alright though, but still silly.

I don't remember the ending, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Though I did watch my brother finish it,

Basically it does the open ended sort of thing. They expect you to explore the world after you're done with the story, so you ended up with nothing really.

God I hate that kinda ending. You can check it up on youtube if you want though.

Hmmm, I don't know. It certainly lacks itself as a game of it's own, but as an experience it was very very good. Loved it.

Although I can admit figuring it out can be a real pain in the ass.
