Anyway.
1. Worlds. Bioware makes Milieu stories miles, miles better than any other developer.
2. Characters. Bioware also makes very very good characters who feel alive, to the point that we have disturbing numbers of people wanting to sleep with them.
3. Dialog heavy games. Very good point of Bioware.

Yeah in Bioware games, it's certainly not for narrative, thematic or gameplay purposes but juvenile wish fulfillment.

Strong female characters that aren't just sidekicks ala Triss Merigold
Humor. Yes. I dig it. Esp. in banters.
Bonus mention: Their games invite trolls into every single thread. Positive or negative. Broken records are such fun!

I think it's worth it.Is this really a good thing if quality suffers? So far BioWare's sequels scream "needed more time".
So far, the only BioWare sequel i would say has objective quality issues is DA2, and i still prefer DA2 to Origins.
Making the sequels different is extremely important to me, few things disgust me more then a company pumping out the same game and putting a different number at the end. Whatever people think of the direction BioWare games take, they have to admit the sequel is different to it's predecessor.
Even if they "admit" it by shouting "They changed it now it sucks!"
I only mind a sequel being incredibly similar if it is a game which I play only for the gameplay. Examples include sports games, shooters, racing sims, turn-based sims, etc. Games that are enjoyable primarily for the game.
for games that are about story, however, this doesn't bother me, especially if the mechanics are already good to begin with.
If I am reading a book, I don't want the writer to experiment with the narrative style, to redesign their charcters or to decide they want to write a non-fiction novel instead of a fantasy one. I'm here for the story. I'm not against using different writing techniques... but for God's sake, don't deviate so strongly that it begins to feel like it is not the same story being told.
Being focused on story, choice and characters in your games is innovative enough already. Don't sacrifice that wonderful, unique section of your game to 'innovate' features that can be found and done better in other series. It's a losing battle for everyone.

That should apply to sports games too. I know it does for me.Fast Jimmy wrote...

1. Their awesome fanbase, eespecially the IT crew, those guys are hilarious, it's always fun to read their thread.
2. Their fantasy-orientated games, especially ME3, that's the best fantasy game they've made so far.
3. Their awesome choice-and-consequences mechanics in most of their games. There are so many romance options to choose from. And with all the characters being bisexual, there is plenty of choice for both male and female player characters! Isn't that's awesome!?!?!? YES IT IS!

But...
1.) Their choice in voice actors.
2.) Their character writing.
3.) Their ability to create interesting concepts for stories. They may not be able to continue them very well, but they always knock the original out of the ballpark.

That, by a mile. The sequels were notably different from the original - Mass Effect 2, while drastically different, felt on par with the original and had no quarrel. ME3, while still a fantastic game, is a slight dissapointment. DA2 is, um... yeah.Their ability to create interesting concepts for stories. They may not be able to continue them very well, but they always knock the original out of the ballpark.
But yes, the original concepts definitely capture one's imagination. That will likely be greater in agreement.

2 Baldur's Gate 2
3 Dragon Age: Origins
Or to be more specific:
1) Huge epic story
2) interesting npcs and companions with their own agendas and outlooks
3) Be a hero, be an antihero, be a villain who fights other villains. The choice is yours.

1. Same-Sex Romance (I wouldn't have even been aware of bioware had I not run into an article praising them for inclusivity. I started purchasing their products for this reason. I have also consciously NOT purchased products for being non-inclusive - such as Witcher 1 for being misogynist and FFXIV for intentionally deciding not to include SS Marriage).
Really?
Romances are the only reason you play games?
Oh well, I personally don't care if a game has romances or not, but to each his own.

Your incredibly shallow and superficial reason for not buying The Witcher really hurts my little gamer heart. The Witcher is AWESOME, but you don't even want to give it a chance just because it's "misogynist", which it totally isn't.
Just for your information, I know plenty of WOMEN gamers who LOVE The Witcher, a lot! So The Witcher can't really be that mysogynistic, can it? Just think about it.

Oh GOD, I agree! Just because the developers (understandably) like looking at pretty girls doesn't make the game misogynistic! Give the game a chance and you'll see it rather heavily DIScourages sexism! So what if it has female nudity? As if you haven't seen that before! So what if the main character sleeps with a lot of women? It's part of his character! You can even choose to NOT sleep with women, if you don't want to. So give the game a try, and don't view it through feminist-colored glasses. You'll be glad you did.

That said I DID buy Witcher 2, which corrected this problem. To this day I refuse to buy Witcher 1, but I suppose that's no big loss to them as at this point it's $5.
Romances are also not the only reason I play games - I only own a few games and half of them are fighters with no Romance (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc.) and the Diablo Series, which if it has a Romance I must have missed it aside from the Templar's interest in the Enchantress in D3.
Being that Romances were lacking in most games I played, they were that drew me to BioWare as it offered something different.
