Okay, that actually did remind me of a more recent embarrassing death... which, of course, totally had to happen on that one magical late afternoon that Derek Hollan graced my PS3 lobby with his presence. It was he, my buddy Rad Rage, and I... and one extremely lucky PUG... playing our last Silver game of the day.

I chose the Turian Havoc because Derek actually named that kit, so I did that as a sort of "salute" to him (yes, previous rounds were with my Turian Sentinel, go figure). My friend was the Batarian Vanguard, Derek was the Destroyer, and I don't remember what the PUG ran. We did Giant/Geth/Silver and I got a little too Havoc Strike-happy. I ended up in a group of hunters and troopers at the LZ area and proceeded to get staggered... and battered back and forth like someone getting beat up in a circle of schoolyard bullies. Which is exactly how I described it over the mic. And then I went down, whereupon I immediately rage-gelled... then felt bad because Derek's Destroyer was running up to be the hero (I hear this little "Awwww... I was gonna get you back up" over the mic as my Havoc stands back up, LOL). I then thanked him for his efforts anyway, trying to come save the "damsel in distress". Got a good laugh at that.

Shameless name drop of course! Lol good story, hmm last time I played with you on Gold things went smoothly, I must try to make life awkward so I can witness one of your rage gels in action!:innocent:

Bioware needs to add the ability to dribble downed Volus to safer places.

Died a few days ago helping a friend through bronze. I got killed by nemesis at the end of the wave. :/

Makes me wish there was a map with an extremely long ramp for no reason other than watching Volus roll their asses down them.

Sure, it starts out funny, but without a rescue at the end, I just feel bad for the little guy.

Silver, Giant, Cerberus. I got downed 4 times on wave 2. I almost quit out of embarrassment, but I decided to stay, and didn't get downed the rest of the match. Until 2 seconds remaining to extraction...

You ever have those waves where it seems like every enemy on the map is focusing only on you? I couldn't poke my head out of cover without instantly hearing "suit punctured!"

And of course, my favorites: Full health, full shields, and I just drop.  Even the killfeed doesn't know what happened.

I got downed three times in a row by a pyro. One pyro. The same one. Each time I was revived, he stood there and flamed me so by the time I actually stood up, I was on that last trickle of red health and straight back to floor hugging.

I had just unlocked the N7 Fury Adept. Having a blast and just finished my "Biotic God" banner, so I queue up for one more game before bed, because having a banner makes me play better, right? RIGHT?

Get into a tight spot on extraction wave and try to take cover against a wall... of course I port right through it and get instantly staggered by a Guardian and curb stomped by an Atlas.

I've held my own in Platinum matches! So, I think I know what I'm doing by now, right? Wrong. Figured I'd take out my slayer to check out the new PD balance change. Was level 4 but it's Bronze. No worries. Put some points in PD and I'm good to go. Get Vancouver/Reapers. Die in wave 1 to 3 cannibals.

Mass Effect 3; humbling veteran players since March 6th 2012.

Did you know that enemies have 1.25 damage modifier in Bronze?

Anybody ever die on revival? More than once I've either gelled or been revived, obviously thinking everything to be good. After all, I'm alive again, right? Well, I get up, and my reward for living again is an immediate Phantom sword to the gut. That's always fun, right? :/

You pull moves that would shame Chuck Norris...
Then...
death by swarmer or husk/abomination pile-on. And you either have no medigel as it was a crazy game or you manage to survive the pile-on only for a banshee/praetorian that joined the party to grab you...

I've died many a time by swarmer or reaper goo or falling off a height, my characters just don't want to live sometimes!
