Which art style is Dragon Age: Inquisition going to have for the Darkspawn? DA:O or DA2?

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the Darkspawn will be made Gangnam style.
I approve.
But does this mean the PC can do the horse dance?

Hopefully neither, like we need the darkspawn AGAIN when they seemingly have nothing to do with the story. Though I imagine / hope that most things will look a fair bit different anyway, benefits and drawbacks of using a different engine with different lighting and rendering. Also Flemeth in 2 far outshined Origins Flemeth![/quote]
DA 2 Flemeth, with her "hair horns" and battle armor came across more like a Power Rangers villian then the quite, reserved power that she commanded in Origins.
I would have preferred something like Kreia from SW: KOTOR 2: A hooded figure that while not physically imposing, gives the impression of great power hidden beneath the calm facade.
Not the flamboyant "I'm super powerful and mighty! Look at my armor, and be amazed!" Vibe I got from DA 2.

They've said, again and again, that they're sticking with the overall look of DA2.
But darkspawn may still get a redesign. Who knows?
Really? I thought I read somewhere that they were going back towards DA:O (at least for the elves).
Gaider said it in another thread here, asking how much will be brought back from origins. And they said they doing mostly everything same as was in DA2, with only few things being mixed and some redesigns. There is no "just like in Origins".

Ugh. Well there goes any chance of me ever buying this game, if that's true. Everything in Dragon Age 2 looked absolutly terrible.

Kreia, best female character ever.
Now which does BSN prefer?

so we're stuck with the zombies.
But if it were actually a legitimate thing to reach an end to... I'd want Origins' style darkspawn... Of the art style direction... the zombie hurlock darkspawn was a horrible idea.
The new genlock is neat. And the crappy shrieks that were in Legacy's files.... did not and should never see the light of day. The alpha designs are also really good.
But the lack of... every other type of darkspawn... other than hurlocks and having the only emissaries be hurlock emissaries... was very disappointing.
That was half the flavor of the genlock emissaries... that they were spellcasting, demonic dwarfs!
But seeing as how, just like the dialogue wheel and voiced-one-race protagonist... we are stuck with these crappy zombies.
Thank god for playing on the PC and having people make mods to fix this immediately.
EDIT:
Sorry... I gotta go with the chicken butt and Madonna boobs.Skelter192 wrote...

DA2 was sometimes too ******.
I think DA2 is better. Elves were kinda ugly but then again in DAO elves were like humans with pointy ears. If one wore a helmet you could not tell the difference

Played Legacy for the first time yesterday!!! it was great and the genlocks were great.SpEcIaLRyAn wrote...
As long as no one looks as bad as Alistair did in DA2 than i'm good, oh and Zevran. His face just screamed ewwwww. But I agree Legacy was a lot better with Darkspawn design. Especially the Genlocks. Honestly just played it for the first time yesterday and was not expecting that look. They looked pretty vicious.
Alpha genlocks wth the shiled proved a great opponent. great mechanics there.
DA2 dlc is the best bioware ever released!

Yes Legacy was very good. While the wave system still wasn't perfect they definitely did improve upon it. At some points its felt like there were no waves. Although storywise it was good I just still don't understand why Malcolm Hawke was so important to everything that happened, surely they could have used someone else's blood for the seals.
To get back on topic though, yes the designs for everything even the enivroments was very much improved. Larius also creeped me out with his appearance.

And the Children. Don't forget the Children. Especially if Bioware could implement their "life cycle" into the game's mechanics.

Now all Flemeth needs is a moon base and an arm that quarterbacks would kill for, and these two would be nearly identical.

I think there should be another topic for Flemeth, she is too complicated to discuss in a topic that isn't about her.

Now how about we have a topic where we just offer ideas on how to improve the derpspawn rather than asking for the old ones back, even though I would actually want them back.
