The one I hate the worst is when you go into a lobby, equip your consumables, go ready, and wait, and wait, and wait, and then the host leaves.  This pisses me off to no end, because then you have to go back into character, and take off your consumables, search for another lobby and then put them back on again.

Sometimes they'll be stuck from a previous match in the "Waiting for other players" screen of annoyance.

Hmm, didn't realize that happened to hosts.  I've had it happen to me enough times, but I rarely host.  Thanks ask83, I am a little less peaved about it now.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Took me weeks before i even knew mine was on.....

I have dogs.

I talk to my dogs in baby talk..... a lot.

I also sing to myself when i get bored, mostly songs about being a husband.

Suffice to say my Kinect is now disconnected.

If I had a nickel for everytime I get trapped on that screen as host (or another friend of mine getting trapped on that screen when he's host), I could retire right now.

After three rounds of bleeding ears and nicely asking to turn off Kinect-

Me: "Xbox: Open Tray. Xbox: Open Tray. Xbox: Open Tray."

xXxKinectxXx*: "What are yo-?.... OH SH-"

xXxKinectxXx has left match.

Random Other Guy: "Oh, thank god that's over."

That's freaking awesome!

On the subject of Kinect mics, I have mine disabled, but it always shows me as having a mic available even if I haven't bothered to plug my headset it.

I usually change my characters after every game unless I am specifically working on something. Because of this sometimes I end up having to respec an entire character in the lobby and delay the game but I have never been kicked for it and people usually just double tap the ready button to give me as much time as I need even if I don't announce it over the headset.

This I don't understand.  Why do you have to spec a character (even worse if it is a level 20) in a lobby if the other 3 spots are taken and everyone is ready to go.  If you can't have that already done before joining a lobby then don't switch (seeing that you seem to switch so frequently).   What you do is certainly one of the things that gets me leaning toward anger.  Assuming you mean a pug lobby since a friends only lobby would be different though it would still bug me even then.

This has me in tears, I can only imagine what it was like to be in a lobby with you....

You must have also been wondering why no one wanted to play more than one match with you...

I plug in my mic, turn the volume to minimum on it and throw it to the side so that I don't have to listen to people period. Its easier than muting people which doesn't always work anyways.

But what if you're afraid of talking to strangers on the internet....

Also, we did do a 3 volii Gold match after you left last night Zero (picked up a random Geth Trooper).  It was pretty epic and hilarious.  The Geth carried objective packages and it was like he was herding a pack of wild Volii as we escorted and shield boosted him.

Or in private chat because most randoms are jerks? Or had a bad day so are in a private chat venting to a friend while playing so the randoms don't (A) Butt in (B) Tell them to STFU or © start threatening to report them if they don't start talking about JUST the game. And if (A)(B) or © happens, it will be followed by the unmetioned (D). (D) Cranky person and friend both turn rage towards random, yell at him, kick him, then report him.

So you see if that is the case it is best to let them stay in Private chat.

Only issue I have is mic volume... if I hear way too much noise, they get kicked immediately.  If Bioware had a mute button, I would keep them but without a mute button, they can find another room.

That is amazing.

A shame you aren't on PS3, we'd get along smashingly. I, too, have dogs. And talk to them. Not so much baby talk, but more about them not standing right in front of the TV staring into my soul or "Gunner, leave the cat alone or so help me I will spank your monkey ****!!!"

And I also sing songs on occasion. Mostly about the eternal load screens. Usually can work some type of song parody out of that while waiting for eternity to drop into a game.

The difference is I do this knowing full well my mic is on. If someone's got a stick so far up their butt that they can't laugh at random humor, I probably wouldn't want to play with them anyway. Image IPB

Pork Cylinder?.....Hmmm if you also have a scottish accent then I think I played a few games with you once. I must admit it was a little funny to hear at first. But it doesn't bug me. As long as my chuckling doesn't bug you, we are good. LOL

People that change over to a new character and take 5 minutes to set up, I do like it though when they pick a new character and the match starts w/o them being ready... Then I suppose they rage quit.

Also when people try the double loadout glitch, over and over again...don't know if this even works any more, but people still try.

3 friends who opened it up for a fourth waited five minutes for a non-existent random so they all took care of nature waiting for the servers to finally let in a random.

Just because I have a headset doesn't mean I'm there to sate your social needs. I'm there to play a game, not talk to you.

It's funny, cause it annoys the hell out of me when people try to START a conversation with me.

I use my headset for tactical needs/putting the noobs straight.

I have to kind of agree with this. If I actually wanted to converse with other human beings, I probably wouldn't be sitting at home playing a video game on a Friday night.

My mic is on to hear the game and sound****... Not to hear someone's conversation about random crap I don't care about.

Beauty of my mic, I can mute people and still hear the game.

When three people are ready, and the fourth person waits until the counter is down to 5 seconds, clicks ready and not ready to restart the twenty seconds... it's ok the first time, I blame myself when I don't leave the second time they do it, I definately leave the third time. Is there really nothing better for them to do than troll people in the lobby?

If everyone is equipping consumables on gold, do the same, you won't feel useless once the game starts :-p

I never do that, I find it is a sign of weakness :P

Seriously, I am always on top of the board (in PUG...) without any consumables... So I don't see the point. I never use weapons, so I don't want to see ammo wasted on a locust I have for backup :P

To respond to the OP, I would say radio/TV in mic is quite a pain.

If you're on the xbox, it shows whether a mic is plugged in, but NOT whether they are in an XBL party or gamechat. So it's possible that they just can't hear/speak to you.

If I notice someone talking a lot in the lobby (the only time you would be able to tell, visually), I jump into gamechat and let them know the situation.
