It's a bug, not an etiquette problem.

I'm hosting Hazard Ghost / Reaper / Gold a few weeks back for the Ghostbuster challenge. Level 20 KroSol. I get a kick vote. Everyone readies except one person, and he keeps resetting the timer, apparently waiting for others to also kick me. At first, I just laughed, but eventually I get tired of it and kick him back. The other two kick him and he's out.
All I can figure is that it was because I had the Striker and he thought I was a missile glitcher (even though I was hosting). Really it was just for the challenges, plus the fact that it's a great way to get even more FEs with Incendiary Ammo (on top of Inferno Grenades and Carnage).
The annoying part was that he wasn't satisfied with others not kicking and kept resetting the timer over and over. I didn't have a mic on at the time, but I wanted to say, "Dude...get over it. They obviously don't agree." If you don't have the votes to pull off the kick, seems like you would just leave of your own accord.
I ended up with the top score and kinda wished he had gotten to see it.

People that equip mics, but don't bother replying when you try to start a conversation. Kinda irks me. Seems as though they're just eavesdropping.
If you're on XBL a lot of times if they don't respond they are in an XBL party but it shows the mic as being enabled because it is, it's just not connected to the game chat.

After three rounds of bleeding ears and nicely asking to turn off Kinect-

Great Scot!! That rules! I always thought of trying that but didn't think it world work.
I must try this next time someone leaves their kinect mic on!

Sorry, I don't buy it. If you come out of a match and you know you're not going to play another, but you have "stuff" to do, then exit out immediately so the rest can go ahead and find new pugs. Waiting until 2 players are ready and then bailing is rude. Etiquette is all about being/not being rude to others. Even if I'm not hosting, if I'm not going to play another match, I bail immediately so the team can find another player asap. It's just polite.
As far as I'm concerned, the only excuse is the one mentioned earlier about getting stuck in the "waiting for players" black screen.

I hate it when there are 3 people in a lobby readied and a 4th joins and the 20 second countdown starts immediately. you can tell the 4th is trying to add consumables or change their characters and no one unreadies to give the guy like 10 seconds to add gear or consumables. I find that rude. I will always unready if I can clearly see the guy is there and adding equipment or w/e. If he's taking an erroneous amount of time though (over a minute) then I ready up.
I agree 100%. If I'm in a lobby with 3 and we've let the countdown start, sometimes we'll get someone right before it starts. If so, I'll unready to give the guy/gal some time to ready. It doesn't hurt most people to be polite.....and I want my team to be as ready as it's going to be if possible.

yep i usually quit lobby straight away unless i know i def want another match right now with same character. Most i'll do is add points if its not lvl20. Going to store or changing character etc means I quit the lobby if im with pUGsredwinghata wrote...

leaving the mic going instead of using push to talk when they have a bunch of background or when ingame using speakers instead of headphones so all the rest of us have to listen to their diarrhea of the mouth and the ingame sounds echo through their mics.
Push to Talk. Should be default in every game.
There is no functional use for always live mics. Espeically in a multiparty chat. People just end up talking over each other and making auditory vomit.

If people who join a lobby that I'm hosting look like they belong on bronze and they ready up, i'll leave the lobby instead of trying to kick people.

Just for a little backstory, this happened the week the game came out. I, and a friend, ran into someone using one during the demo and after listening to a near ultra-sonic feedback loop for 5 minutes, had to leave the match to save our sanity and our eardrums. He actually came up with that "technique" afterward, I just had the opprotunity to use it later.
