So today I finished another playthrough of Mass Effect 3 and on the Shepard I picked Destroy. The Epilogue rolled and I was pleased, but it was then I realized something, I had now picked Destroy on more Shepards than any other ending, even my favorite which is control.

I'm currently at 3 for control, 1 for Synthesis and now 4 for Destroy.

My integrity! Why?!? What's happening too me?!

It's somewhat understandable in that the game actually celebrates the virtue of 3 horrendous acts of violence. Choose destroy and the game rewards you with a few hopeful slides and easter egg that can be interpreted pretty much as you please. What you don’t get is a slide for the slaughtered Geth - what you don’t get is any kind of acknowledgement of Jokers loss and\\or EDI's sacrifice etc. Honestly, what a wretched way to end such a phenomenal journey!

What would you think would be appropriate in the Destroy ending? You see both EDI and Legion. Would you rather they be pie-in-the-face obvious about it to try to provoke a guilt trip?

The Catalyst already tried that.

Aye, I'd rather the game offered less in the way of reward\\cover for those who actually support the explicit propositions of those final solutions. They're revolting after all!

I actually got a pretty flashy cutscene for the destruction of the Geth.

It felt like justice was achieved for a couple billion people. I don't feel guilty about it, if that's what you mean. The Geth VI didn't exactly give me a choice.

As to what I learned? I'll substitute what I believe. AI shouldn't be outlawed - I recognize them as living, sapient beings, and as such believe they deserve certain protections (ex: no experimentation). That said, like any organic, they should be held to account for their own actions - and the Geth's actions warranted their ultimate fate. In the future, AI should be handled differently, not reflexively quashed as the Council initially dictated.

Or we could just unleash the horde on any AI that gets ideas.... Rachni or Krogan, really its not that different.

That should prevent any Morning War 2.0

If we can put aside our differences long enough to fight something as powerful as the reapers, imagine what we can accomplish now that they are defeated.

Glowboy and his deathmachines have got to go. I shot the tube. I make no apology. I just have to find some other holy book somewhere in the galaxy and deliver it to some other priest and get absolution.

Maybe its because the only "people" you killed were robots?

No idea. Apparently robots are an ethnicity/species.
