Ok, I've never recorded and uploaded videos so I need some help.
I recorded Lialiani singing her song and it is 2 Gig as an avi. The resolution was 1920x1080, widesreen 16:9 ratio. I recorded it with FRAPS. I used VirtualDub to compress the file because it is so big, but then there as a lot of static.
So what resolution do you guys record in to upload to you tube and what do you use to compress your videos?

Thank you! That link was just what I needed. I downloaded the freeware program and it compressed the over 2 gig original avi to 172 MB. It plays just fine without any static and still looks good too. I've uploaded it you tube but it is still processing. Hopefull the final product will look good there too.
