None. I'm happy with playing as a Human.

Human. I find the City Elf "woe to the oppressed" & Dalish Elf "curses to the shem"-stereotypes in DA a bit boring which is why I thought Zevran was very refreshing. I'd roll an Antivan elf second.

Elf. All the way. But failing that, Kossith. Failing that, dwarf. Failing that, Mabari, (and I hate dogs). Anything is better than humans.

Dwarf or human the only reason I'd prefer dwarf over human though is fantasy tropes, dwarves usually represent the human qualities I like more than the generic human tropes do. A human grizzled vet character removes my want for a dwarf in a fantasy setting considerably.

Dalish Elf preferably, get to be a self-righteous xenophobic dick and on a quest to rediscover your lost heritage. Kind of like a combination of Indiana Jones and 40k Eldar.
Really don't care for the human option, especially when it's not even optional, if/when I am in the mood to play something more down to earth FRPGs wouldn't be my first port of call. I can turn to nearly any other genre for it and they normally do it better.

Commander Shepard.
Seriously, It wouldn't take the Commander all THAT long to master the sword (or axe).....

Elven mage. I love to be racist against humans and templars. And then you know solve all their problems with my incredibly good, tolerant and caring nature. And of course after that I like to point out I solved your problem and hey I am both mage and elf.

Sometimes people want their character to get as far away from what they really are as possible and are still quite happy with their lives.

I'm happy playing as a human, but wouldn't mind playing a dwarf either. For some reason I never could stand playing as an elf in almost any rpg setting. Too thin, too pretty I guess. Qun...eh maybe if I could play a horned female one. I play a spacegoat already on WoW.

For Dragon Age either human or elf. I usually like elves in most fantasy games (usually they're better looking than humans) although DA is one of the few series that makes playing a dwarf interesting

Qunari - a Tal Vasoth (or whatever they are called) who is exiled could be interesting.
Otherwise prefer human. Not too keen on playing an elf, could accept playing a Dwarf.

Human.
I find it difficult to connect with non-human PCs.

Male elf if they changed them to be less freakish looking then female dwarf, female elf, male dwarf then a token human to see what's different. (I'd still rather be an alien DA2 elf than a human though)

Perfectly happy playing as a human. Though I do miss playing as an elf. Never got into playing a dwarf, even though their origin stories are great.

I don't really care very much about what races are available, especially if handled like DAO. Outside the origins it felt like it didn't matter, IMO, so I don't care if we only get to play as a human. Besides I'm more interested in the backgrounds and what kind of character I can create (and have the game react to). I would love to play as a Avvar one day or have classes/specs matter more in the main story.

Human because the cultural diversity of the other races are sorely lacking in comparison.

For this game I want to be human. It just seems more fitting. With a sexy french accent.
Though I am hoping for other races in future games.

1)Kossind(Saarabas Tal-vasgot, who joined to Tevinter Empire)
2)Elf(former Dalish Keeper, who joined to Tevinter Empire....or son of Elf Magister).
....he would be Battle-Blood Mage of Tevinter Empire....and later he becomes the future Archont, who...
1)enslave all Templars and force them to volunteer to fight for the Empire....OR, with help of Kel-Sharok Dwarfs-turn all of them into golems army that will obey the Empire and its Archon(especially him)
2)lead the armies of the Empire to conquer Thedas
3)destroy the false teaching of Qun, and personally set on fire tome of Koslun
