While I'm content with the trade off of more game with less races, in DAO, the City Elf was the most interesting race. If we only got one race in a future game, I would want it to be that.

Dalish Elf Mage. I want people to recognize me as one, without the need for a mod. Every time an Elf calls me a "shem" in DA2 I feel a spike of sadness. "I wouldn't be a human if I had the option!"

Honestly, while I love to play as all three races if we can only have one I'll go with human.

Sometimes people want their character to get as far away from what they really are as possible and are still quite happy with their lives.

No this guy sounds like he hates humans....

Oh I do, but that's besides the point, (I'm perfectly content with myself by the way). Humans in this game are just incredibly boring to me in this game. I know they were just origin stories, but I could relate to none of the human origins in DAO whereas the Elven stories I really could. Dwarf Commoner too, I'm just not a fan of the look. I'm generally interested in the Qunari too.

The whole City Elf storyline has ruined humans for me sort of, (but in a good way). Plus, I haven't met an elf I didn't like, while all my least favourite characters are human. Vaughn, Isolde, Post-Awakening Anders...who wants that?

Well I have the complete opposite view, I hate all the other races, when I say hate though, I mean I hate playing as them. Why would anyone want to play as a hairy drunk midget, or a stick thin pointy eared Human? They're lesser versions of us in my view, I just don't see the appeal.

Had dwarves been able to cast magic, they would be the choice for me. Since they can't, I'll settle for humans instead. I wouldn't mind playing as an elf either, if their design gets toned down a bit - I'm not a huge fan of it.

if they use the elves model in Origins, I won't mind elves, but right now, humans are the only good looking race

An elf or dwarf. I like humans, but I don't like being forced to play one. I'd rather there be a choice.

I like dwarves, as I've always found them to be fun to play and they are full of personality (at least the funny ones).  I also like to play as non-humans in my fantasy games, because I don't need a videogame to roleplay myself.

I also like how dwarves fill out their armor.  When I first played as a human character in Origins after my first few all being as dwarves, I couldn't help but think that my human really needed to eat more.  I just prefer the dwarven short/stocky/muscular appearance.  Unarmored dwarves in Origins looked like mini-Hulks.

I loved the Origins choices, elf/dwarf/human was pretty foolproof.
Personally my heart will always belong to the elven mage. I'm truly heartbroken I won't get to play as one.
