TL;DR, Don't be afraid to try unorthadox builds, they may surprise you.

There is unorthodox builds, and then there is incredibly retarded builds. Speccing out of AF on the Fury is the latter.

I actually specced out AF on my Fury once but couldn't keep track of when to put it up so I went back to DC+Throw

you should try human infiltrator without tactical cloak on bronze that works really well too

I hope this was a joke because it made me laugh out loud and reminded me to say.

You should try your Destroyer without devastator mode it's my best class on platinum Hawk Missles OWN!!! Posted Image

Chargeless human vanguard also works quite well on bronze. Lifting shockwave --> nova.

Of course, bronze pretty much exists for you to do fun-but-stupid stuff without having to drag the team down.

No offense man, but honestly, anything works on difficulties below Gold.

Not saying you're bad or that you shouldn't play her like that, but that's my assessment.

True

however this does work on platinum. I top the scoreboard all the time without AF on platinum- works especially well against Collectors and reapers.

Dark channel and throw area really helpful. Hit the praetorian with dark channel, then throw  few dozen abominations that are running at you, or just biotic explosion the thing to death.

yeah it's obviously viable.. if asari adept is viable, non AF fury would be too.. they are very similar..

most of us are just trolling around lol, b/c it's a key note of the class. but now valkyrie can do it with more DR so it's not so bad

Kroguard does not need biotic charge. Carnage + Barrier = guaranteed win!

You can't do that that fast with any other class.

But you can do it faster with a AF Fury, you only need to cast Throw.

it's faster with both AF and DC.  i'm not sure exactly what you mean by "you only need..."  you could be implying without the use of acolyte, you could be implying AF and throw only, and/or you could be implying AF/DC/throw in combination.

no matter, DC from a distance and charge into spawn points with AF on.  every throw should be a biotic explosion ideally.

Spec out of AF? Whatever for? You could easy go with a bunch of other classes if you wanted to BE from a distance. The only thing you would miss would be the teleport dodge and at a distance, why would you need that?

Edit: Also topping the scoreboard as a measure is utterly flawed. I've topped the scoreboard on gold with level 1s, so what? That was because i was packing ammo 4s, cyclonic 4s, amp 3s and gear 5s. If i used that to measure effectiveness, any class would be awesome (barring the vorcha)

Bah. You guys are a bunch of conservative rednecks. I also run my fury without AF most of the time. On gold. On platinum I take other clases tbh, DC+throw makes me more resilient to laggy lobbies and allows me a ranged caster play style WITH teleporting-wall-hacking-dodge-thingy and wonky charge-orgasm melee. But OP sure needs to drop that argus, N7 Fury wants acolyte.

because of the automatic primer.  warp has a long cooldown.  warp then throw, warp then throw, warp then throw...  versus dark channel, then throw, throw, throw, throw...  huge difference.

And when it survives 1 BE, you need to wait for it to kill by dot and jump? Or rethrow dark channel again?

depends.  i use AF so that usually re-primes the initial target because i charge in.  when you dark channel, aim for the closest low level enemy to guaranty the BE will kill them and make the jump.  geth prime drones, husks, cannibals...  that way your followup throw causes another BE.  even then, another throw will most likely kill the underling and the DC makes the jump, rather than having to dark channel and wait, you can throw and still get the dark channel.  the jump is also more efficient because it connects to targets in cover.

ideally, the 1st BE will have affected whatever target the DC jumps to and had done enough damage that the 2nd target will die when you followup with another BE.  on the rare times i've been thrown into gold matches, i did end up having to re-dark channel more often than in silver.  in silver, you only need one dark channel and AF on to clear a spawn point.  i usually only rethrow dark channel against bosses.
