Dark Channel is awesome and throw is really fast, it is so satisfactory to set of 3-5 BEs in a row with just 1 dark channel and 3-5 throws!
And the mobility is cool, jumping through walls and up and down cliffs and stuff.

That is how I play her, if I wanna play close combat style with AF I use the Asari Sentinel with Tech Armor.

I top gold with her sometimes and sometimes not.

I am not good enough in close quarters combat to really benefit from AF, and I don't enjoy that playstyle as much either.
So, that is how I prefer to play.

If you prefer to stay back then that's cool, but there are other characters who can to a better job of it. A Fury is designed for CQC, but it's also a squishy character so I don't see the point in giving her more health and shields etc. On gold+ she's going to go down, because she's no Krogan.

DC is great, but when combined with AF, the Fury is deadly. Biotic explosions everywhere.

Agreed CQC isn't for everyone, but once you practise it and become good at it, you broaden your skillset. You're therefore not limiting yourself to some characters, and even better, you're not speccing some characters to do something that others can do much better.

Try it, you may be surprised.

Fury + Argus 2 is good. In MY experience. I can make it work. Obviously you guys can't. If AF didn't have such a short range, and Fury was tougher, I'd use it more. But it's not, so Fury + Argus. UMADBRO?

You didn't see the gun you aimed at your foot and fired did you? You're saying others can't make a no AF build work but then you admit that you can't use AF because of the short range and fury's squishness...

At which point, i'm tempted to ask. Have you ever seen a truly good fury running AF? If so, did you think that "this guy can make AF work, obviously i can't".

Don't bring your setup anywhere near my lobbies. 
If you can't make AF work on the Fury you're doing something wrong.

I know that Dark Channel is fundamentally different from Warp in many ways, but it seems like a Fury without AF is more or less a weak Asari Adept that doesn't have to recast Warp as often... thereby missing out on the debuffs.

Play how you want, but whenever I see Furies without AF I roll my eyes. I play on Silver, for what it's worth.

You can usually dispatch mooks faster with DC+throw than Warp+throw due to DC hopping around and not being dodgeable, since combo damage should be enough to kill them if you use your weapon too. Once you add bosses to the equation the asari should come out ahead, especially if incendiary ammo is involved, but on silver that shouldn't be a cause for concern.

AA is useless on Platinum. Furies can statistically help a biotic team finish a Platinum round faster than AA.
