I wanted to find out if Dragon age a game I’m dying to play would
run on my laptop  I got it in 2008 Its an
hp dv9830us 4 gigs of ram  nvidia geforce
8600 gs 512m also I just updated to windows 7 64bit

The video card is quite weak. I see that you said  it's some sort of laptop. Do you know what the CPU is?

OK, your system is above the official minimum, although well short of recommended. The game should play fairly well, at ordinary laptop screen resolutions, and a mix of low and medium image settings.
