What's false about what I said? You admitted to trolling people who disagree with you and your justification was that it happens here. That's not true at all of course as nobody is out to get you but your imaginary oppression is laughable.

Shouldn't Game of the Year's be at least somewhat revolutionary? Games that truly change gaming, or genres, or notions about gaming? Games like Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy (3D platformers), Skyward Sword (fully realized and perfected motion control gameplay), Portal (a FPS that is actually a puzzle solver). I mean, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare got some GOTY awards, but while subsequent games may have been technically better, the other additions in the series have never been considered in the same light.

Well, when there is something truely revolutionary (like some of yoru examples) that succesfully achieves its goal, then yes its an easy decision.  I don't really think there is anything like that this year though, making it tougher.

I think ME3, in having two games before it that significantly impact the third game, is pretty revolutionary. There have been choices and consequences in other games before, but not carried out over a trilogy. Sure, ME3 isn't a complete success in this, but in a lot of ways it does.

Not only was Mass Effect 3 bad because of the ending, but the way BioWare handled the situation pissed me off even more. EC or not, the game still negated everything you did in the previous games.

Not to mention no end game boss fight with Habringer, and instead getting endless horde mode.  I don't care if they thought it was too video gamey.  That just spells lazy to me.

A reasonable stance, but I feel I would give ME1 and ME2 the honor.  ME3 built on what was achieved.  Kind of like your COD4 example.

Good point. It's tough to really credit just one game, and ME2 did get a lot of GOTY's. I just bring it up because ME3 was the realization of the player's choice, while the other two games set it up. I guess it just depends on how well you think ME3 accomplished its goal (I know people have wildly different opinions on this; I would say it succeeded on many fronts but was very disappointing on others).

ME3 is my GOTY so far alongside Spec Ops: The Line. But I'm just one man and I haven't played everything yet.

yup this proves it right here....you're delusional. Making up whatever events you like to believe to have occured. Everything about what you said is completely false. I have never said I troll those that disagree with me lol and I never tried to justify anything that has happened here. I simply stated that pro-Enders get trolled here, and that its the other way around on nearly every other gaming site. That's a statement lol not a justification to troll. Which by the way, said "justification" wouldn't make any sense because there hasn't been any trolling on my part. Lol as I said, you either can't read or you're just making this up as you go along.

Provide some proof of your ridiculous allegations or stfu....or just continue to be a trolling moron. Makes no difference to me....

Nobody trolls "pro -enders" here. In case you missed it the name calling stems almost entirely from one side; yours.

Moreover you've said in this very thread that people enraged at the endings are targets for ridicule by you. Don't backpedal.

If I wasn't bothering you so much you would have stopped responding and wouldn't insecurely repeat "lol" every second.

Isn't there a separate award for innovative games?

haha I was right....you are delusional. And clearly cant read lol

First of all, if you want proof that people that are fans of the game and its ending, are indeed trolled here on the BSN, you need to look no further than the first page of any Appreciation/Positive thread on this forum. It'll be littered with hateful comments lol

No need to backpedal. I know what I said. You should learn to read though. As I said: I only find mtself trolling those that "mindlessly bash" the entire game due to their distaste for the ending.

And that's all I said on the matter, contrary to your delusions. Those that do not like the ending or say that its not for them, well, that's expected and completely fine. People that hate on every little aspect of the game and nitpick all day.....well, those are completely different set of people than those that just don't like the ending.

You're not bothering me. Your stupidity amuses me.

People will invent any rationalization for their beliefs. The deluded one here is you. Apparently a "vocal minority" rules BSN like some apartheid state where people like you are second class citizens and denied basic dignity, lawl. You're a big joke.

Who tells others fans to stop whining?

Who tells other fans they're entitled crybabies?

Who tells other fans to STFU and GTFO?

What provokes all that scorn? People simply expressing themselves.

Very good article. Thanks for sharing it :)

Good FPS just can't have better story and gameplay than good RPG. It's just impossible. Pure FPS is always graphical-engine-and-multiplayer-biased game. Nothing more.

By hateful you mean no I'm voting for something else? So is saying you're not voting for something hate, there wasn't any flame war or insultinging that I was aware of. One pro-ender said he didn't understand this view point and others responded but that was about it. All people said was they weren't voting for ME3, others said they did, there was no insults thrown at the op. So is voicing dissatifaction trolling?

I've seen you gladly acknowledge that you enjoy stirring people up for fun (indeed, you said precisely that to me once when I asked why you were always stormed into threads so 'hot').

Also, as a general rule: just spamming 'lol' randomly into the middle of every second sentences doesn't make what you are saying any less spiteful and aggressive.

Who accuses people who like the game for not being "real fans" simply because they share a different opinion?

Who attempts to point out arbitrary numbers and polls in order to make an objective issue out of a subjective issue i.e. enjoyment when it comes to entertainment?

Who bombs every Facebook page named after Casey Hudson with hateful speech?

How about we just admit that this is the internet and we have people who talk sh*t on both sides of any debate. Your attempt to play the victim and assume the moral high ground is insulting to a lot of us.

No game in the GOTY nomination deserves the award.ME3 screwd the pooch, AC3 is just more filler,Journey is there just for the PS3 crowd. Dishonored and TWD were good, but not GOTY good. But then again the VGAs are completly full of crap, so my guess is that ME3 or AC3 wins it.

Message boards are for contentious discussion and opinionated debate. That's not the same thing as insults however.

Hudson and Walters are mostly attacked on a professional basis. As public figures they're fair game. It's not personal.

look I just ate a whole box of pasta with a pound of Gorgonzola based Alfredo sauce

so as un-eloquent as this might sound at this point because of the cheese clogging my brain I still want to say that Bioware and Mass Effect do not deserve this award.....and they deserve even less this much loyalty from the fans

I have no idea how they evaluate a game to win the title game of the year if it were by sales, Mass Effect would not ever as there are games that sell much more

If only that's what people actually did on these boards, not to mention all the other things I've mentioned.
