Most notably with the aggressive Covenant considering the Elites were bros with the UNSC at the end of Halo 3. All I got was "Alot can happen in 4 years". All-knowing Google helped fill me in afterwards.

I'd argue that since the Chief has been out of action for 4 years, niether he nor Cortana know why, so niether should you. Why should you? You (Playing as the MC) have been in cryo all that time and cutoff.

Oh, I agree completely. Just something that irritated me is all. Same goes for seeing Halsey handcuffed (and presumably on Earth, I'm not for sure), seeing that last I had heard she was trapped in some Forerunner Shield World. Again, my fault for not reading the books, just...GRRRR.

ME3 does the worst thing, not telling you why you're stuck on Earth for 6 months and who the hell James is. This doesn't jive since Shepard wasn't sleeping that long or out of contact. Where's the bridge?!

Why need a bridge? ME3 is the best place to start the trilogy!

Shes great.

Not so keen on the other new "free personality included" spartan IVs. I must have missed something there. I read ghosts of onyx so i know where the spartan IIIs came from and watched forward unto dawn with lasky, but when did the spartan IVs  suddenly appear.

I must resarch now.

Presumably some time after Halsey's revelation that her interrogator had plans to make a new generation of Spartans, but cheaper and with less (zero) kidnapping.

IV's are very new, though not surprising. Especially since Humanity there is on a "Let's get built up again before the Covenant or someone else comes around to kick us again." On this, they are smarter than every politician in the ME'verse.

Indeed. I loved that the UNSC decided to not rely on a defensive strategy against unknown aliens, but rather decide to aggressively rebuild so that THEY would be in the ones to be kicking aliens in the face.

...The Didact doing his thing in Halo 4 kind of broke this illuson for me, but I'm willing to let that slide on the basis that he was in some kind of advanced Forerunner vessel. I just hope this type of thing doesn't repeat in the next two games.

I think that for the moment, the Forerunners still have a good edge on us since we are busy catching up on thier tech. I figure Halo 5 will have us in a tough spot while Halo 6 deilvers the goods ME3 couldn't by allowing us (The Chief) to save the damn and be "big goddamn heroes".

True, true. The Keyship used against the UNSC in Halo 3 wasn't even scratched, but Didact's sphere...thingy actually took damage from the Infinity, so I'd agree that humans are slowly but surely catching up to their adversaries. Granted, the Keyship may just be a superior all-around warship compared to Didact's sphere, but at least the catching-up-in-tech possibility isn't ruled out either.

The books scream that "We will be able to use MUCH more Forerunner tech soon." Just a matter of time, especially since we know the Librarian rigged things for Humanity to eventually "replace" the Forerunners.

Please. Me3 was just full of disappointment ending aside. Auto dialogue(hell, a lot of the dialogue was just bad), terrible fetch quest, Me2 characters getting the shaft, forced drama, boring multiplayer, and choices from the past two games just amounted to "War Asset" numbers. We don't even see most if those war assets in action. Major choices were really ignored. Kill Rachni Queen in Me1, get artificial replacement in Me3. Kill the council, new council is just as arrogant. Keep collector base, get 10 more war asset points than those who destroyed it. How is that acceptable? Cerberus was turned into an evil empire doing things for absolutely nothing, like attacking the facility in Sur'Kesh. Kai Leng was a terrible villain. Really, Me3 was mediocre at best. Definitely no GOTY quality.

I think they will try to retire Master chief as a character much sooner than anticipated.

The legendary extra snippit for Halo4 implies it heavily.

 Which snippet? The only difference between everything else and Legendary is we get to see part of Chief's face. I highly doubt Chief will get the boot before then end of 6, since his job isn't done yet. Though, just as long as he goes out as either a complete badass like he is, or he gets to relax for once I'll be happy that his character got the end he deserved.

I think that Halo 4 was a good mix of action and story. No need to load tons of cutscenes with exposition into the game. Plus, Spartan Ops is a delicious stream of story content every week.

I agree with spartan ops.

I relish the commander spartan sarah "hale" fem-palmer scenes.

I love the spartan ops episodes. Each episode gets better and better. The last episode was a nice twist at the end plus giving a long needed perspective into the elite side. Well done 343.

Mmmm. Maybe, we'll see.

But at the very least they now have a real reason for upgrading the Chief's armor, as opposed to improving it while he's frozen.

As far as i know. me3 lost all the GOTY prizes it competed.

And im sure as hell wont be voting on it for anything except for the category "biggest let down of the decade" or "**** of the year".

its still original Halo 4 is just another FPS

ME3 is hardly original. Deus Ex:HR, Alpha Protocol, Fallout, etc.

ME3 is more unique then FPS which are a dime a dozen now a days

Please tell me which FPS's on the Xbox 360 that are exactly like Halo's style of FPS.

Oh wait, thats right, there AREN'T any like Halo at all. Gee, how about that.

Ehhh, it could also be the sheer amount of stress he's gone through, even for a Spartan. For him, it was only 10 minutes ago that the Gravemind was killed and the threat of the Flood ended, and now the Covenant is suddenly boarding his ship, Cortana has aged into rampancy, two new generations of Spartans have replaced his generation, a crazy Forerunner with robot minions is running around trying to exterminate humans...poor guy just can't get a break.

I'd like to see Chief distance himself from the UNSC actually, that scene with Del Rio treating him just like another soldier despite the fact that he is the most decorated a revered SPARTAN in UNSC history, let alone the fact he IS a SPARTAN II? And now with *you know who* gone?

Things could get very interesting indeed.

That would be pretty interesting, and allow for potential Spartan-IV enemies should the UNSC send some after him to bring him in. Having actual human enemies (besides that ONE guy in Halo:ODST) would be awesome, especially if it adds a new dynamic with those enemies being future generation Spartans on top of the traditional Covenant tactics and the new Promethean stuff as well.
