I'd like to see Chief distance himself from the UNSC actually, that scene with Del Rio treating him just like another soldier despite the fact that he is the most decorated a revered SPARTAN in UNSC history, let alone the fact he IS a SPARTAN II? And now with *you know who* gone?

Things could get very interesting indeed.

That would be pretty interesting, and allow for potential Spartan-IV enemies should the UNSC send some after him to bring him in. Having actual human enemies (besides that ONE guy in Halo:ODST) would be awesome, especially if it adds a new dynamic with those enemies being future generation Spartans on top of the traditional Covenant tactics and the new Promethean stuff as well.

Especially considering that the SPARTAN IV's have absolutely no idea about the history of the SPARTAN program, and don't understand that if Halsey didn't do what she did with the SPARTAN II's, there wouldn't be a SPARTAN program. Ever.

They'd also probably be dead.

Then consider what she said at the beginning of the game, tie that in with the genetic markings of the SPARTAN II's which directly co-incides with the Librarian and Ancient Humanity.

Also i'm expecting the flood to return, since everything regarding the Mantle revolves around them and Primordium.
