It get's rid of the hwole Starbrat section. That right there is a massive improvment. Also the death of Anderson is enough, we don't need a forced EDI+geth death put in there because reasons. MEHEM is not perfect, I still prefer my headcanon(whih is in fact bittersweet* but MEHEM is better because of the simple fact that one entire section is gone.Persephone wrote...

MEHEM amputates the limb to save the body. It removes the worst aspects of the ending and replaces it with and admittedly storybook ending. But one that's still leaps and bounds better than what Bioware provided.
And that is where I disagree. To me it's as contrived and broken as the pre EC endings. Even worse due to its simplification of casualities of war, sacrifice and struggle. But yes, I know, that's just me. MEHEM is no improvement whatsoever IMHO.
And replaces it with sentimental, contrived........never mind.

I am sure she did.
I dunno, I've never liked happy endings like this. My fave DAO endings are the Ultimate SAcrifice/Redeemer endings. But like I said, the more endings, the better. It IS good to have options.

No, no, you misunderstand. Not forced as in "I am forced to play it" but forced in the way it works out. It makes no sense and the Normandy rescuing Shep from the EXPLODING Citadel makes as much sense as pre EC Catalyst did. To me, anyway.
As forced as
"We'd rather keep our own form"
"You can't"
?
And FYI, in the mod, the Citadel is charging up for the blast. It makes as much sense as any story where the hero scrambles to get away from a bomb as the screen counts down to zero.
In addition, low EMS endings still have Shepard die, and no memorial scene plays.
So tell you what: We'll believe in our space magic, and you believe in yours

The Crucible, that MacGuffin is a reaper off button, make no mistake about it. The only difference between the Glowboy ending and MEHEM is that the MEHEM ending is that you get to end the game with your morals intact, and not some screwed up ending that's going to leave a person in a state of depression for three bloody weeks afterward. It may be a story book ending, but guess what? Mass Effect is a story, hence the other endings are "story book endings" as well. They're just crappy story book endings. MEHEM just happens to be a better story book ending.

As for EC - what worse than "evacuation scene"?
"evacuation scene" with EDI.
It is so unbelievably retarded, that it is actually hilarious.

Speak for yourself. My "morals" were just fine after each EC ending I picked. Shocking, I know!
ME3's endings didn't leave me in a state of depression whatsoever.
Tou you, maybe. I for one prefer the EC endings.

I liked that scene.
What's so bad about it? That bloody dull Harbinger doesn't shoot the Normandy down? Yeah, that would bode well for the bargaining with Shepard afterwards. Like the Catalyst or not, it's controlling the Reapers and shooting down the ship of someone he wishes to bargain with later.....now THAT would be dumb.

Did you get hit with the original endings? What has been seen cannot be unseen. March 22, 2012. Even with the EC, one sees through the additional dialogue and sees through the slide shows and sees the original ending. It has not changed one bit. The only way to fix it is to eliminate glowboy completely.

Everyone was wondering how the squadmates made it back to the ship in the original, and they couldn't pull it off in the edited version either.Maxster_ wrote...

it all comes down to personal taste.
i have a need for happy endings - i like them. not because i am too stupid to understand deep and dark endings, i need happy endings, because life is miserable and cynical enough. i have seen my share of disaster and death in real life.
having an ending like this, in the original game, or at least showing shepard alive in high ems destroy, would not have hurt anyone.on the other hand - the s**tstorm would have been less severe.

Is that really what you got out of Joker & Edi being together? Whew, charming. You could just stop them from getting together, you know?
