Why is it so hard to understand that a really bad destination can ruin the journey? I still love Mass Effect 1&2, but i can't bring myself to play through those games again. The fact that people who hated the ending are still on the BSN 8 months later speaks volumes. It shows just how much passion they had for the series, and to say they aren't fans is ridiculous.

Yes...and instead of praising a game that they have so much passion for they constantly make threads sh***ing on Bioware and exclaiming how much the ending "destroyed the series".

If you can't look back 8 months later in retrospec and see how great of a series and universe we were given...instead of simply focusing on the ending you disliked and how it "destroyed the series"....then in my opinion...you may have been a fan...but no...you weren't that big of a fan to begin with.

That's just my opinion.

Well, people tick differently.
I can understand why a true fan of the trilogy feels that the end distroyed the story in hindsight and makes playing any parts of the trilogy something that lacks the enthusiam of playing it before the end.

I'm a huge fan and I've loved playing all the Mass Effect games, except for the ending of ME3.

I still don't like the endings even after the EC probably because I still can't get my head around star child suddenly appearing in the last 10 minutes of the game. For me Shepard was all about being the great hero, defeating Sovereign, blowing up the collector base, trying to find a way to destroy the reapers. Who is this kid?

The first time I saw star child I thought don't trust it, it's trying to trick you.... Then the disappointment of having to go with what this kid was saying and being given 3 options.....lets choose a colour, very anticlimactic.
Destroy was the only one that made some form of sense to me and then, yeah,  what a brilliant idea to finish with my hero Shepard stuck breathing underneath some rubble with his friends left on the Normandy thinking she's probably dead.

I just don't get how Bioware think that this is a great conclusive ending to finish off Shepard's story!!

yeah well I don't like how Vigil appeared in the last 20 minutes of the game, or the human-reaper in the last 5.

Seriously? You're telling a person to kill his/her self simply because they dislike the game? Doing that is far more pathetic than complaining about a game, especially when it is possible they only just bought and finished the game recently rather than back in March. You're behavior is part of the reason why gamers in general get labelled as immature, antisocial losers; no better than the idiots making death threats to the devs.

Lol, totally missing the point. Vigil was not suddenly announced as the real, over all antagonist to the series. And the Human Reaper was still a Reaper, a threat we knew about. Plus these were always part of a trilogy, we knew that, so we knew it was early days. The end of ME3 was what we knew would be the end of the series.

Instead of the needless name calling, try staying a little relevant.

This is a message board, a place to talk about the game, pro's and con's as the user sees it. If you don't understand how these message boards, or the internet works, maybe its you who needs to grow up.

Its just an ending. And the extended cut endings make the payoff worth it.

Relays get rebuilt, no ones stranded on an island, life in the galaxy goes on. You beat the reapers, you do what you originally set out to do. Sure its not super ideal, like you don't get to marry your LI, and there isn't a parade or anything. It just does what it has to.

I can understand being upset for a few weeks or a month or two after you saw it. But eight months?

Oh the "newest" ones are just as great: "IV" and "The Oracle" (and their accustic EP "The Other Side") are great too and worth buying if you dig their music. Sully Erna's solo record is also out which is slightly different but still very cool.

Ok, this is really derailing the topic... though it's still better than telling each other to f.ck off or to kill ourselves over personal tastes regarding a game's ending.

They're unsatisfied but they've moved on from complaining to people who already know about it. Nobody here cares if you didn't like the ending, because they already know. This thread could be considered spam. I've only seen a couple of "Ending Complaint Threads" in the past couple of months. People are starting to realise that there's nothing they can do now.

Get your head out of the past and move on, bro.

It is always fun to remind EAWare of their failures. Like SWTOR, DA2, ME3.
Not that it will change something, but it is fun nonetheless.

Their more recent releases are great too: "IV", "The Oracle" and their accustic Ep, "The Other Side". All great hard-rock, metal records which worth buying if you dig Godsmack and this kind of music in general. Sully Erna (singer) has also releasead a solo album, which is something completely different, but still great, "Avalon". Check them out on Youtube!

Now this is really off topic... though it's still better than telling each other to f.ck off or to kill ourselves over subjective differences of personal taste regarding a game's story and ending.

We're still allowed to be constructive w/ our criticism.  Its da auto dialogue that kills ME3 for me.  I can deal with endings.

No they killed it and now they want to beat it into powder by releasing a new game when they still haven't bothered fixing this one. And no the ec did fix anything it is just the same crap just more drawn out and they had the nerve to say head canon ur ending I didn't pay them to imagine an ending they lied and stole and I'm still not happy about the supposed good faith gesture they released the ec is just a slap in the face and people are still complain should tell bw that they messed up big time and fix it
