How come Asari Valkyrie + Reegar isn't popular ?

AF's debuff is that huge, yes.


Not really .. Can do the same/similar DPS outputs  with all Warp capable classess .. BUT the combination of asari dodge mobility + tech armor durabilty is hard to beat on the survival//getting in range side of things ...

awesome, not even infiltrtors can do that! Any other characters needs 2 reegar clips to kill an Atlas. So I guess she's the best boss killer right now yes?

The valkyrie with reegar / incendiary ammo is amazing. I wasn't sure I wanted to try the valkyrie, but when going for the council banner, i used this build for all 200 waves. Went by very fast.

This below average pugger hardly uses anything that utilizes warp simply because I get tired of it missing. Especially when it goes right through enemies. It's always satisfying running into a group only for warp to miss.

Also puggers use builds to compensate for the possibility of having to carry a game. While you, your lordship, may be able to do it with a level 1 Batarian rocking his Predator, most aren't. I for one don't like soloing every wave.

When the Huntress comes out, she will be able to deal even more damage. The huntress could probably give the GI a run for its money for highest possible damage.

When the Huntress comes out, she will be able to deal even more damage. The huntress could probably give the GI a run for its money for highest possible damage.

I won't do that with PUG, but when playing with friends I go full equipment on AS. With PUG I just don't want to play her for safety.

I only use GI + Raider for the challence. It works great on some map and depends on your team mate doesn't mess up the spawn. Or maybe that's just me playing badly.

And AA acolyte + incendiary is godly, especialy against geth. Things that don't have armor acolyte + throw, things that have armor acolyte + warp = one hit boomer, pyro on gold.

When they do fix it, warp ammo will be an adequate substitute.

So if one out of four players use one of those "op" classes it means that the majority of all pugs use it? For me if the majority of all pugs use it than the majority of all pug players should use that class.

I pretty much only pug and haven't seen a ridiculus over use of those classes. I haven't seen a SI in ages, and most of the time the pug players who use kroguards suck at it.

Why phasic rounds? I'm not aware of any interaction they have with warp.

The reason I don't use her in PUG's (ever) is that in a PUG noone will watch your back. Everyone has learned by now that taking down bosses yields less points than one-shotting mooks. Hence everyone will chase mooks and run away from bosses.

So, when I engage a couple of bosses with a pair of infiltrators behind me they will just run away to kill marauders on the other side of the map. Marauders that will instantly respawn to flank me as I am dodging the ravagers and banshees.

Also; if you run with kroguards or other vanguards (as is often the case in a PUG) you will find yourself running behind him trying to catch up to get a kill or two.

tbh tho there isn't much difference compare to the Valkyrie except she can cloak, because it takes one clip of reegar regardless to kill a boss.

Asari Valkyrie + Reegar need lots of high level consumables to get that kind of boss-killing DPS. It is also high risk, being toe-to-toe with bosses who can sync-kill. I usually play off-host with laggy games half the time. Lag + CQC with boss units + enemy mooks who shoot me before I can see them (due to lag) = dead Asari.

I prefer to do the Warp+Incendiary ammo thing from a safe distance. I lose the AF debuff but it is a fair trade-off for survivability.

On the other hand, hers will always work whereas the Shaman's is based on one the worst implemented powers in the game.

Seems everyone prefers Destoryers.
Had 3 games yesterday where I was the only non-destoryer. Made my Female Quarian Engineer feel very squishy. And another two after that where 2 players were destroyers.
Never seen so many in such a short time

Also, demolishers..everywhere.. all the time.

The biotic explosion damage difference (af+warp // warp + shockwave ) is less than negligible (the entire BE damage itself is negligilbe small potates)  compared to the amount of damage incendiary + warp can do on a full reegar clip ..

Besides, I'm not sure she'll end up doing more damage. Tactical Cloak's damage bonus only lasts for 2.5s IIRC, so only the reegar will get its damage boosted. The damage coming from Warp+Incendiary ammo, which is significant, will be unaffected.

I don't think that's right. Can you link me to where Eric wrote about this? All I've seen from Eric and other posters would indicate that once you get 100% armor shredding you are negating the full 50 damage reduction offered by armor on Gold.


It'd be hard to dig through, but he pretty clearly stated both power/passive DR and Armor reduction should not ->intentionally<- exceed 90% on either side.


In that case it is a bug .. But armor DR can be reduced to 0 ... (100% pierce or weakening )


Oh, so I didn't completely make up that armor DR reduction cannot exceed 90%... Good to know I'm not that kind of retarded yet :lol:

On topic, Feneckus. I played for around one full day with the Valkyrie as soon as she was released, constantly topping the scoreboard by at least 50k or so even not in pug games, almost never going down and stuff. And I wasn't even using incendiary because I don't like to abuse game mechanics which are clearly wrong.

Oh, by the way, I agree you should prioritize bosses because you melt them like no tomorrow, but you still can be extremely affective detonating BEs against mooks. Almost as effective as a fury. You know, those early waves.

Anyway, the point is: I got bored. It didn't take much, wasn't a challenge, you know? So maybe PUGs can think after all and they got bored too! ;)

I got so bored of the reegar Valkyrie that when the huntress comes out, I'll slap a frakin Javelin on her and play her like an infiltrator should play... :lol:
