I never get to kill him with a human somehow! ('cept for a quick enactment for movie purposes) but my dwarf noble and elf are quite demanding on the whole trust issue!

I love the song too! I just couldn't stop it playing in my head during the whole act! And it's not like you're going to have any male, be it dwarf, elf or human, singing it on MTV, still I liked singing it! (more in a metal version too!) Well I don't get what that song was all about in the OP, but....... after learning of his later betrayal, I made a vow to kill him instantly every time. He is a traitor. No matter what character I am, what race, that traitorous elf dies in his sleep.

Ah so he does end up betraying you? I figured he would. I recruited him only once and have hated him since. I didn't even get far enough to have him betray you. May he die a thousand times over.

I'll have to say though, that first play through where I recruited him, he kicked some major ass. He just sliced through darkspawn like they were butter.

He only betrays you if his approval is low and you run into Taliesin on the way to rescue Anora.  If his approval is high, he decides to stay with you and helps you kill his "old friend".  So I guess he is kind of a traitor, either way.

I like him, though.  I can't help it.  And he does kick Darkspawn ass, if you develop his spec right and give him some good daggers.

He never betrayed me. I always keep my team's approvals high, and I know any one of them will betray otherwise. Nature of the game. I hated Zevran as soon as I discovered how his tastes were.

I killed him in my next playthrough. I was fairly surprised when I didn't enjoy it, and felt like I became a murderer. Maybe you may have to drop your humanity somewhere to be able to enjoy it, yes, even if this were just a game dummy.

I left Zevran live and it turns out that he is a good fighter but I just don't really like his personality. The next time I play, I am going to kill him.

I'm with you there. But, to each his/her own.

He never betrayed my PC, be it in a romance or just being friends. He's an awesome fighter if build up right, he cuts a bloody swath through just about everything.

His party banter is a hoot.

So I say, whatever floats your boat.

I also really have a problem of killing a defenseless person, but that's just a personal feeling. I feel the same about Loghain, and he really is made out to be a supreme bastard in the game.

Zevron betrayed me in Denerim, I killed him too. Fruit loops wasn't so tough, nor much good for anything.

She's not much good to any male, when romancing the female PC. She has much more to say about F/F relationships then Zevran has about M/M.

She also goes for the PC's throat, upon a certain decision the PC makes, and she'll do so without fail, no matter what the approval rating.

Zevran's romance can be turned off right of the bat, Leliana's can start again (that might be a bug though).

P.S. This is not any kind of belittlement, I'm genuinely curious.

I am one of the "Zevran is a fruit/pansy/etc." people. And I think neither of them should bite the dust. We simply do not have the right to decide about other people what is right or wrong. I cannot leave my humanity out of anything even when it is a game. I may decide to play the cruel, in which case I kill everybody without discrimination, to prove to my conscious that I am really playing a different role. Even in that case I never feel comfortable killing people on a whim. I am always aware when I play (whether in real life or in a game) on the boundaries which define my humanity. We always should be since we may also be killing something else in our hearts along with it.

Since you decide how to build your characters, I find Leliana to be quite a good fighter/Rogue. She is my archer and proves her worth whenever she is in the party. She did not turn on me, Zevron did.

In fact Leliana and Morrigon are bickering and slinging insults over my PC, this is what is driving me to distraction. It is kind of funny.

I have Leliana in command at the gates right now. She is doing a good job.
