The Earth DLC was very good kit-wise. 2 new powers per kit? New models? etc. Perfect.

This ^^!!

I like these "boring" new characters, there's lots of combinations of old powers that would be interesting to try, and I actually hope they do something like this again eventually.

2 passive recycled skills, 1 active recycled skill, recycled model. So exciting!

Let's face it here:

Are you gonna like every character that gets released? Nope
Is there a character that you are waiting for? Probably
Are you the only person that matters? I think thousands of people would disagree
Does the BSN represent everyone out there? Absolutely not
Are you entitled to your own opinion? Yes
Am I entitled to mine? Yes
Is there people out there that are gonna like the kit this week? Yes
Is there people that will like the next one? Yes
Is there people that will strongly dislike the next one? Yes

Some people don't have a problem with the characters but rather that some of them were rushed beyond believe.

None of the two new Asari got the Justicars outfit. Now we have one unique looking one, and 4 identical ones.

The Batarian Vanguard has human audio files for his charge and taking cover.

At least two of the new characters had the wrong walking speed while carrying the Pizza.

Again, no new outfits. This may not sound so important but it definitely makes a difference for most people when choosing which character to play as.  Would I rather play as this new character with a different power set and a cool new outfit, or this character that looks the exact same as the one I just played but with slightly different powers?

I think its because of this thread, Bioware gave us the voltinel, its not like I don't like it, but I prefer Asari or Drell infiltrator more.

(1) If you're a new player, all these kits are new and exciting to you. For example, you could unlock the Valkyrie before the regular AA/Fury as your first Biotic unlock. So even though there are more characters, you still get new characters just as fast as you would have seven months ago - there's just more possibilities.

(2) If you're a veteran player, just buy 3 or 4 PSPs. Then you won't ever see that character card that you dislike again because you maxed it appearance.

Should've done a poll it would have been funny. Bring em on I say more character there are the more variety there is. you can now have all Batarian Geth or Vorcha team and only have on duplicate character or you can have a Full Krogan team where everyone has a different type of Krogan awesome headbutts for the win!!

With four Krogans together they could also send a combined chorus of STOP WHINING! to the OP.

I don't recall saying that people playing for free don't have a right to express their opinion.  I was responsing to this assertion that many people, including yourself, express - "hey it's free, you shouldn't complain."  You don't get it do you?  Complaints are very valuable to companies.  They let them know when a customer is dissatisified.  Consumer dissatisfaction affects purchasing decisions.  This idea that BioWare might not release content if people complain is absurd.  They'll release content as long as they believe there's money to be made.

On the other hand, saying "Golly gee, thanks for the free stuff!" doesn't give you a lot of valuable information, because people will generally express this sentiment anytime they get something for free.  It's the people paying for the content that matter the most.  If they stop paying, BioWare stops putting out content.  It's simple.

Thank god someone else understands! A bit of my faith in BSN has been restored!

Dismissing positive feedback as a trivial reaction doesn't make much of any sense.  I like that I got the kits for free.  Yes, free.  Even as someone who has paid for packs in the past, they are free, because I never had to pay for them specifically.  They didn't come out and say 'Thanks for all the $$$ for packs.  Pay us some $$$ for new characters!"  You were charged for packs (without which you still could play the game just fine to its fullest).  You weren't charged for characters.  It comes down to symantics, and that's nothing to base an argument like this on.

As for 'Golly gee' being useless feedback, wrong again.  Negative reactions to products are good, when they're sensible.  Positive reactions to products are good, when they're sensible.

The classes are a pack, a collection, not so much individual downloads.  I may not like the Volus Sentinel.  If I like the Vorcha, the Turians, the Asari and other classes, I look at it as a gain.  I like having new classes, regardless of skin, and appreciate the effort put into giving us new classes.  That's saying 'Good job, BW, I support this product.  Thank you.'  That's important feedback.  Dismissing it because you feel its based on an illusion of 'free' or as simple 'ass kissing' is a cheap dodge to try and make your point inviolate.

On the counter side, so what if someone who pays for it (again, like me) doesn't like some or all of it?  In this particular case, the OP doesn't like what he's getting so he wants it cut off.  You're free to say 'I don't like this.  Change your policy in the future BW.'  BW listens to that, when it's delivered in a civil manner.  But even if you've invested real $$$ in the game, it doesn't give you more say over anyone else.  If the majority of customers like the additions (by signalling with the above positive feedback), a smaller group that disapproves isn't any more right by virtue of how much $$$ they've spent.

No one is under a false illusion that putting out this stuff costs money, and that said money comes from consumers.  It's a given, not something you should be getting on a soapbox about like you're unveiling the secrent ingredient to Soylent Green.  Regardless of whether or not one of their consumers is partly responsible for said extra income beyond the purchase of the game itself (the only investment you were required to make in order to have grounds for an opinion) doesn't weight his opinion in the slightest.  Those that have said 'It's free, so be quiet' are likely content with the product themselves, more or less.  Assuming people a) don't know where the money comes from and B) are just so simple that anything free they'll like is incredibly pretentious.

$$$ spent on packs is completely irrelevant to the thread.  OP wants stuff changed. The community disagrees, en masse.  End of story.

This post is just..."off" in so many ways I don't have the time or energy to correct each of your mistaken statements.  The bottom line is, (good) businesses do not consider all opinions to be equally valid.  If you're motive is to earn a profit, adopting some lovey-dovey "everyone is important" attitude is wholly detrimental.  Truth is, when it comes to earning a profit, the opinions that do affect that earning of profit are more important than those that do not.  This is no longer the game people payed for at launch.  This is DLC to generate micro-transaction revenue.  Therefore, the opinions of people who do pay for packs or might pay for packs are significantly more important than those who haven't paid and will never pay for packs under any circumstances.

Please, gain some knowledge on the topics you are attempting to speak on.

What does this mean exactly?  You're dismissing his opinion because he's only one person?

Some of the new kits might not be brilliant, but they still bring a little bit of fresh air to the game...and btw it's mean to whine at new free/not dued contents

i know what would make everyone happy

give us a blank kit, a clean slate
we can pick our race, class, and our abilities within reason....for example...a geth with biotic charge...
