The new characters are a diversion to mask the fact that there are still numerous issues affecting the playability of this game. It's easier to release some copy-and-paste characters that aren't even tested than it is to fix real problems. My PS3 has been constantly freezing post Retaliation. No response to this major issue that affects all PS3 players. I've genuinely had enough of the new characters. If this game doesn't get fixed soon, I'm done with it. I know a lot of players who feel the same way. Many have stopped playing already.
I love when people bring up this "Masking the truth" argument. It's not. BW devs regularly listen for notes on problems from the BSN, and give us feedback on what may be wrong or that they're looking into things. This is not a slight of hand trick
It could be interpreted as something to placate the players, but then, everything is about placating the players! That's how you keep them playing!
This attitude like 'If something happens between now and fixing, then they aren't fixing anything!' is bizzare. BW is not a singular organism that can only focus on one thing at a time. Some folks work on neat new stuff for us to play with, and keep us happy. Other people work on fixing thigns that are wrong, to keep us happy. If one happens a lot faster than the other, it's no excuse to go pissing your pants, 'threatening' to quit, and dreaming up conspiracy theories.
You got new stuff. It didn't cost you anything. Focussing entirely on what you didn't get instead is just being a sourpuss.
And on that note, with what you were talkign about before, no, spending $ on DLC doesn't really give him more say than anyone else. You're buying random numbers, not shares of the company. We (other players) don't owe him or anyone else that buys packs a thing, and if they wern't there paying for the free stuff, I'd be willing to bet that people would still play if the DLC came with a fee. And this is all from someone who has spent $ on packs now and then.

as far as new characters... I can't imagine any new abilities with the existing races. so why not add new ones. like my Yahg character, or an elcor, or maybe even keepers and Hanar.

Furthermore, I rather enjoymost of the new characters, especially the Krogan Shaman. It is perhaps the most powerful Krogan kit available.

For all those that spec the Bat Brawler: how many of you use a build that puts 4 or more points into lash??
I'm guessing not a lot of you. And thats the point; IMO, the problem with these new characters is not the lack of new powers, or skins but the fact some of this combinations add little and/or (IMO) could have been done better. (obvious exception to this is the Valkerie...and note how little of the general criticism she gets.)
....surely I am not the only one that wanted to see the Brawler given Ballistic blades instead of Lash?
There are a few exceptions to this (there always are), but for the most part every kit has a huge variety of viable builds. The Geth Trooper's popular builds alone are the Melee build and the SuperFlamer build. That right there is a very fair amount of diversity, and there are probably more than that. The Batarian Brawler kinda got gimped a bit, sorta having one useless power in comparison to two useful ones, but there really aren't very many more like that in this DLC.
Even the Vorcha Hunter gets more than one good build (yes, I'm being completely serious when I say good), and the Krogan Shaman has more build options than a lot of other stuff in the game.

nothing like charging someone then instantly going into the falcon punch animation then surfing halfway across the level to follow that guy you charged.
Only complaints from me about the new characters are just getting appearance cards over URs but there are more pros then cons in getting a new moveset/character.

Yet you feel you owe BioWare something. You're coming to their defense, kissing their ass, and just acting like an all-around sycophant.
People who spend $ on the game do have a right to complain, and you seem to think they don't.
Truth is, BioWare ISN'T fixing real game-breaking (potentially hardware-breaking) issues. Actually, they've reamained completely unresponsive when these things have been brought to their attention. This is unacceptable, when there is an issue that could be damaging consoles.
But keep sucking up. Obviously, a game company can do no wrong in your eyes.

Why so critical and negative about
it? It's just...a....game! You should feel fortunate that Bioware is
actually pumping cash into this MP. I've been playing MP in general
since xbox live began, and have never seen a game updated every single
week. Bioware>most
They're not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. Why do people have this impression that BioWare is working for free and is donating content to us out of love?

I think the Krogan Shaman could so much more better, I think a lot of people use him as a melee characterwhich to me seems pointless because there is a Krogan Vanguard that could fill in the job, his power combination is just a bit crap to me unless he has a stronger form of powers just like how the Vanguard has a stronger biotic charge. The Geth Trooper was great since I hardly used flamer as a Vorcha, the Batarian Vanguard was good but seems to be a copy of the Krogan to me. The two next infiltrators that are coming out seem promising to but thats about it from the other charcters.
You are doing it wrong then.
I use him as a sniper, he is a krogan, so he does not get stagered that much, Barriers keep you safe, while you debuff with warp. Bosses go down so fast with a Shaman using the Valiant.

Just think about the effect a 10-15% bump in memory use would have on hosts with lower end computers. If 5-10% of hosts are laggy right now, that number might jump to 8-12%. Is more laggy games worth a krogan with a slightly different armour set?
That's also why we won't see changeable armour in MP (besides the fact that it's way too late in the game's cycle to add that mechanic).

Cute.
People who spend $ on the Packs have no more say than those who spent $ just buying the game. You inferred incorrectly.
Pointing out how you're wrong is not the same as being a sycophant for the big evil company tht obviously doesn't deserve a lick of praise for anything in this game. That's why you don't bother to play this piece of crap game, right? Because nothing about it is any good?
I've gotten miffed about many decisions BW has made, and said as much on these same forums. The world is not so black and white as you seem to think it is. There's more than a binary choice between awful and great or disgruntled and sycophant.
But obviously I'm only saying this because BW told me too.
