Well, Bioware is in love with Synthesis. I hate to break it to you but what they say goes.

They are welcome to go for synthesis if they like but they would not get my money.
I would say thank you for the trilogy and move on.

Same. I don't want an ending forced on me simply becasue of what someone else says, that goes for all endings.

If they decide to not allow import games or to select the events that happen when we create a character, than I will not buy this game.

Shep is dead and so are my choices

Genophage cure is dead? Quarian - geth peace is dead?

It doesn't matter. What is important for you isn't necessarely important for some people.

Thats like saying that America should have stayed out of WWII because it's not their problem.

I understand OP. Shep was part of me since 2008 and through 3 games. It's hard to say good bye to him, and harder to say good bye to him like that.

Shep is a part of us.

I didn't play the Mass Effect series for the action. Other shooters do it better. I didn't play it for the story. It borrows from multiple other fictions anyway. I played it for the choices I was allowed to make and how it affected my gameplay experience. But now my Shepard is dead and so are the descisions I've made. We all know that destroying the Reapers, controling them, or causing synthesis won't make it into ME4 because it would just be 3 different games and EAware is too lazy for that. They didn't even bother to wrap up my unique choices in an appropriate ending.

And why did you bother playing ME1? You had no investment in Shepard at that time. Why do you play other RPGs that don't have Shepard?

An obvious answer would be 'because you can build a new experience with new characters.'
