I love playing rpg/mmorpg/etc and to me the camera is where it's at.
Dragon Age camera is very good as in not making player feeling sick.
Not often do we get to have good camera in games.
WOW and guildwars are the other games with a good camera.
Games that I tried to like were NWN2 and The Witcher.
Both had bad cameras IMO. Does anyone feel the same about in game cameras?
how important are the ingame camera?

Camera is definitely important, though I never had a problem with The Witcher's camera. I used the close up over the shoulder view for walking around and a farther out 3rd person for the fighting, worked fine.
NWN2 definately had some serious camera issues, though after a few patches they really improved on it.

I agree, camera angles are essential, and I think they did really great in Dragon Age.
There have been times in other games where my neck would've hurt because of bad camera angles.

I agree, the new Eclipse engine seems to have great camera controls.
The camera controls in the he Aurora engine always bugged the crap out of me, and was barely imprved in the Odyssey version.

I liked NWN2. But The Witcher is the only computer game I've ever bought that I didn't play. After 20 minutes of trying to get used to the camera, I gave up. One of these days I'll try it again.
