Javiks armor reminds me of duncans armor. I want it so badly for my character.

I think the technical term for what you're asking is 'plaigirism', unless it was done by an in-house artist?

I would like to see the castle he has drawn. It looks better than Bioware's concept art.

... and if it was created by a non-employee, there's always this thing called royalties, which I'm sure the artist would be more than happy to receive as compensation.

I'd prefer what Origins had, more armour sets with few uniquely looking ones as opposed to what DA2 had, more unique looking armour sets but less in number overall.

Assuming the company was willing to pay, when they already have salaried artists whose job is to produce exactly this sort of thing.

I agree the armours are awesome but don't forget to credit the artist. He's been posting each character as he's completed them here http://andrewryanart.deviantart.com/

If they just wanted to create a set of armor inspired by Mass Effect, yes they could just use one of their own people. They wouldn't be able to use the specific designs created by the artist whose work OP linked to this thread unless they were willing to pay. It would be highly unusual to base in-game items of fanart, no matter how good it is.

At any rate, I was merely responding to your comment about plagiarism, not making statements about standard practices at BioWare. :)

In all seriousness though, why were we never allowed to have duncans armor in the DA games? I really liked the way his armor looked.

I couldn't help but laugh at the lack of Ashley if they were trying to include every single party member from the series.
