Just curious as to what people who don't promote think of people who do. It seems like the popular opinion is people who promote are basement dwellers forever obsessing over their e-peen who never shower and drink their own urine to survive. Or something like that.

Don't be afraid to be honest.

I'll have you know that I've moved up to the 1st floor, and mulling spices go a long way.

I promote to respec. Also to take advantage of the gold character cards that come out every week now (i.e. promoted the Sentinel before buying my first PSP yesterday as I knew I'd get volus sentinel cards, now already at level 14 or so without playing Sentinels at all since)

Sometimes I promote just to do gold with level 1 character for the kicks.

I think you are going to get N7 mastery long before I do. And I am fine with that.

Aaaaaand another dead horse being beaten. Someone should call PETA. They've finally got something on their hands to draw them from making hilariously brutal and plagiated jump'n'run games.

Personally I think both sides of the arguments are moronic over a meaningless number. Although I do have to say, the people who do not promote are usually the ones that complain first and the loudest.

Until the arrival of platinum, frequent promotion was the only good way of creating a personal challenge since playing any class in gold at level 20 was too easy and seriously over powered.

these "Elite n7 120's" are a myth.

As long as they don't think they're better than me for having a higher N7 rank, I don't care.

I really don't care, if people want to promote that's their bag.
As long as they don't try and tell me I'm crap or whatever for not doing.

**** I haven't promoted in ages and I only just dropped out of the top 1%, what does that tell ya?
Nothing... Just as it should...

Retarded, it pointless. It shows only you are stupid enough to care about a number that only shows how stupid you are.

I didn't promote much at all unless it was for weekend events and such until I started going for the challenge on promoting. It doesn't hurt me one way or another whether someone wants to promote a lot or not, I just find it extremely silly if someone views promoting a lot as some measurement of skill.

I don't care. It's just a personal preference. I personally don't promote, though.

It probably means they don't get enough respec cards. I am lucky to get a lot of them. just luck, or else they like promoting for the experience of playing with underpowered characters. It was fun and interesting the few times I did it.

So do people who think that people assume that N7 rank indicates skill think that it does?

I promote cause I like to, and it's part of the game, otherwise BioWare wouldn't give you the option to do it. If I stupid for it, B**W me.

Plus I really want that N7 Mastery Banner.

No it sure doesn't, I was playing with a PUG who was an N7 89 yesterday, and he/she was sick good.

While the guys in the N7 1,000's were on their backs, a lot..

I promoted all my characters once and my engineer twice. Didnt like it so I stopped and now my N7 is at 330. Who ever promotes, more power to them. I didnt promote the last time had a promotion challenge weekend. Commendation packs arent worth promoting.
