What do any of you "non-promoters" think of people who do promote?

I stopped promoting for several weeks because I got tired of some people assuming I was some sort of elite player because of my N7 level.

I started promoting again recently but not nearly as often.

I don't promote and I dont give a rats furry ass if other players promote or not, as long as when they get in a match they can hold their own who cares.

As a non promoter: I do not care. There are various reasons why anyone would choose to promote or not and who cares.
I promoted recently simply because I had my N7 lvl stuck at 420 and every PUG I ran into would inevitably start asking me if I was a stoner. I've been playing since demo and have my ultra rares halfway leveled up and I do not care to promote unless I want to respec a class or something.

I also actually kinda like the challenge of re-starting the classes I've promoted and playing them at a low level again because with fewer tricks up my sleeve it requires me to continue 'training' in the fundamentals-- with two power points to spend, I *have* to hone my marksmanship because I can't just spam power combos.
.

This.

I feel like I'm getting back to basics. I take a new recruit and I train them up through bronze to gold and then once at level 20 they get promoted and a new recruit gets brought in. Sometimes I spec a little differently, even though I have plenty of respec cards. I promote more now than I did before since we stopped having to rename them etc. as it's less hassle.
It also means that I'm not so overpowered when I play with friends who like to play mainly bronzes, we're on an even footing.
It all adds to the variety :D

Of course if I know I'll be doing a long session of Golds with friends I won't promote...although I've taken a Lvl 8 Kroguard into Gold with not too many problems (thanks to my friends)...

I gave up promoting 5 months or so back (will promote for challenges, respec and broken chars)
I'm just too lazy to go through that feeble period these days. I like that N7 banner though.

People who promote don't bother me, people who promote and think it makes them better some how do.

I don't promote much but have found that when i get a new character, promoting them, and building them up is a good way of figuring out the best build.

I promoted fairly often in the beggining, then stopped as I found my zones of comfort around most kits. Then the challenges came and I started promoting again to try new builds and strategies.

About people who promote often (or who do not promote at all): why should I care? It's their game. As long as they play smart and bring decent loadouts to my lobbies, I'm fine.
