So I play on silver and bronze and occasionally gold but mainly silver.  My n7 is 2070.  Lately I seem to get messages or told that I'm a loser for playing on silver, I hardly ever top the scoreboard.  I'm in my 40's and I like to play and not hinder my teammates, but lately I've been thinking about quitting since I guess I'm playing on lower difficulty Lvs than I should be. My question is do I quit or move up to gold and platinum and have my squad mates carry me every game or  stay were I'm at and tell the dirtbags to stick it?  Ty and sorry for how this post may look, I know hardly anything about computers

(The sooner you move up, the faster you'll get the goodies)

(Also, letting what random chumps on the interbutts tell you bother you is bad form, who cares what they say? )

Tell them to go eat a barrel of dicks, and continue to play what you enjoy.

Keep playing Silver if you want. The people who sent you those messages are nothing but fools. You play on whatever difficulty you want, my friend.

I'd just move up, personally.  Though really I think it's silly for anyone else to comment on it.

BTW, topping the scoreboard (or not) on silver isn't really an indicator of whether you're ready for gold or not, because the game is not balanced for silver, and you can top score silver matches extremely cheaply. If you understand the game mechanics (where enemies spawn, how to use soft cover, biotic/tech combos, what the different mods on weapons do etc...) and have decently leveled weapons I'd say you're ready.

Those people are jerks who believe N7 is how to judge player skill.

Just keep playing with what you feel comfortable with and ignore the jerks, best way to keep having fun. Also you may want to look up a group on BSN, Bronze effect is for casual players of all difficulties.

Pssht. Play silver and be proud. Block who ever sends you those nasty messages and give them reviews (I know Xbox has this feature).

This game is meant to be enjoyed. Why force yourself do something you don't like or are not suited for because of what a couple of bozos said?

Ignore the idiots. Have fun playing on silver and don't worry about what some 5 year old yells over the mic

There was a thread a few days ago asking about people with 700+ hours played (people who play on higher difficulties and are really good). It asked how they found enough time to play and reading all te responses made me a little ill(I also have over 700 hrs). The vast majority were unemployed/in between school or job/had nothing really going for them in life. It was really sad.

The next time someone calls you a loser for being bad at a video game feel free to laugh at them and/or pity them.

Don't worry. Sometime I even kick people with too high of N7 score. Because of the more likelyhood of them glitching my game. But, geez man, you're in your 40s, those people talking trash are in the 20s at best. If age counts for anything ... why give a damn?

Silver is the middle ground. Anyone can play it and just 1 good player can carry the entire team if you fall, without it being a horrible slog for that guy (unlike gold or worse platinum). You don't need to care about the people sending you messages, just ignore it

Personally I think it's a tad annoying when people us lv.20 characters on bronze or silver, stealing kills & points away from lower levels trying to increase - unless they're working towards a challenge. But who am I to say you shouldn't be playing the game? Keep truckin'!

Aren't you over-sensitive? It's just a video game why do you care about those messages? Play the way you want. There is no need to make threads about nothing.

You say you know your limitations.

That`s more than what most other players are capable of.

Don`t even care about those random messages.

I got a "XXXX OFF" message for not saving a guy from Phantom Sync kill.
I don`t care.
Can I even save somebody from phantom synckill?

You wont get better at the game if you don't play the harder difficulties. But that said, play what you want. Who cares what 12 year olds say to you.

Have fun and play what you feel comfortable with, I just broke the Silver to Gold barrier on PUG's recently and while I have alot of fun it is intense, I find silver to be the most relaxing setting for me because I don't have to worry about 20 banshees or phantoms coming at me but it's not boring like a bronze pug is to me now. So play what you find most comfortable and have the most fun at and you nevermind those DB's that send you bad messages :-) Good luck!
