One thing really eats at me in Dragon Age, and I am still baffled why no one hasn't modded this in because it would be so nice to have.

Why can't we pan when zoomed out like we can when viewing over the shoulder, I don't see why its a problem, you can pan in over the shoulder view. It drives me nuts when I am using the zoomed out mode and range is off the screen and I can not pan so I can target them or see them. I have to zoom in then pan. Its like the only thing that really gets under my skin and bugs me when I play. Someone with mod skills make it and you will get virtual BJs from all dragon age fans....on PC

huh... not sure if I understood but we can Pan when in tactical view with mouse on screen edges. Also, for a broader range, turn the camera with mouse right button and then pan.

He's talking the tactical view which pretty much doesn't allow much in the way of vision from the bird's eye. I've found that sometimes it won't allow you to pan as far as you'd like it to. After that you get a medium range zoom and a close zoom on your character. What he wants is a long range zoom so he can see better without using the tactical view.

heh I know what you mean, very annoying sometimes, often when trying to position AoE spells on far-off enemies.

hmm.. that's what I meant. I go Tactical, pan as much as it lets me, turn the camera around and pan "backwards"... almost doubling the range of the view! Particularly good for AoE spells!
