Don't want to make you seem less amazing but can it be that every damn solo video uploaded was on XBox360? Is it a myth or ARE the enemies there less aggressive? Dont want to be a jerk just curious.
Watch the BSN tomorrow, I'm putting the finishing touches to my volus platinum solo (PC) and it should be uploaded by tomorrow.
I also (bizarrely) got a faster time than salmon did, which is interesting given he used the character and weapons with a far better damage output, I'll need to watch a bit more of salmon's video first though, I'm only on 15 minutes so far.
I don't go for speed, I go for survival.
Enemy type, map, armour piercing ammo, why did you choose these? I'm genuinely curious actually, was the map and enemy type just personal preference? And the ammo, why AP ammo and not incendiary?

I just felt like doing that map and enemy. And Armor piercing does more damage than incendiary rounds on assault rifles because it gets rid 90% of the -50 point damage reduction you get against armor with the added 50 percent damage. Incendiary just gives you the 50 percent damage and also I don't rate fire explosions highly. Also you do more damage to atlases with ap rounds.

really awesome but... 1:30:10!?..... solo seems like a chore IMO
With a volus it takes alot longer to kill things and I don't go for speed. The ultimate chore was getting targets on all 3 objectives.

Using Incendiary on rapid fire weapons needs you stop firing before the DoT starts to work otherwise it keeps stacking and doesn't start to tick. I don't have the self control do do that - I prefer AP or Warp for the damage up front on rapid fire weapons.
Good job on the Solo!

Well - that is how its supposed to work.. BUT it doesn't work that way (incendiary ammo has (bugged) stacking mechanics and ends up doing more damage than its supposed to ... ) link

You are indeed a Hardcoresalmon! Looking forward to more.
I'm taking a break from soloing platinum for now because this was very stressful. But I may do other things.

i am positive, in my brains, that they are less aggressive.. i've noticed this just watchign so many videos. I can tell it's xbox before even checking their powers lol

If there is any difference then the PC players probably have a slight advantage.Vlark wrote...

1. they can run around corners smoothly and don't have to let go of the A button for a moment to make the turn
2. there is no auto-aim moving your crosshair to the next swarmer instead of to the real threat, the Ravager.
3. I guess you can aim a little faster (or more accurate) with a mouse towards the head of an enemy than with the analog stick of a controller (this is just pure speculation though, not backed up by personal experience with ME3 on a PC. I am just using my memory of playing Quake 1 to 3 on the PC)
4. I've read here in the forum that you can easier reload your weapon during the use of powers like Shadow Strike. Yes, this is not intended by Bioware like Reload canceling in general, but nonetheless PC players are exploiting this minor glitch.
Just my 2 cents. HardcodeSalmon knows already what I think of his ME3 abilities.

Or a wall or the ground. Seems like auto-aim sometimes target things that you can't even see, like an enemy behind a thick wall or an enemy hiding beneath the floor (think upper part of London). I always used to wonder why I could have my crosshair on an enemy and when I zoomed in it just targeted an empty wall instead but came to the realization that it actually target things that you can't even shoot.
And if you have an enemy sitting behind cover, you put the crosshair right on the enemy's head or body, when you zoom in it targets the enemy as if it was standing up and aim for the center of its body so you're not really aiming at the enemy at all anymore.
90 % of the time when you put the crosshair to line up a headshot it would instead become a normal bodyshot when you zoom in.
If you are trying to hit a moving target you want to put the crosshair a bit infront of the enemy so that you can zoom in and shoot them at the exact moment when they get there. If you try to do that on Xbox the auto-aim will instead relocate your crosshair on the enemy's body, and since the target is moving you will most likely miss the shot if you immediately pull the trigger because the enemy will already be gone once you actually shoot. If the enemy is moving in a straight line towards you then you can just zoom in and shoot immediately without aiming at all and hope for the best, most of the times you can get a bodyshot from it.
Auto-aim is definately one of my least favorite functions in this game on Xbox!

The accuracy you get with a mouse and the lack of auto-aim makes headshots a lot easier

Don't forget about medigel reload canceling, you can't do that on Xbox

Good thing he played a Volus with the Particle Rifle then huh? No risk of taking cover with the A-button and no need to go for ammo

Yes, he always used to say that weapons like the Particle Rifle and the Acolyte were crap regardless of what we said, now it is all that he is using when he plays
Have you started to like those weapons now Salmon?
