I was dissapointed that AJAX was cerberus, I cant stnad playing cerbeus armor whilst taking down cerberus people. It feels weird. So...I started messing with the texture and here is what I have so far.

This is only FEMSHEP for now. Will get to broshep if enough people beg. :police:

Things I've done:
-Darkened the Armor so its not White
-Replaced the orange with red
-Painted in the commander stripe
- Replaced the chest cerberus with N7

Things I still need to do yet:

-Fix the emmissive map to glow red instead of orange.
-Fix the normal so its not a cerberus relief.
-Fix the spec so the cerberus logo is totally gone.

Wow, cool stuff. I like the new armor, but couldn't stand the cerberus logo XD
Thx for fixing that up, man / ma'am.. Think I might be getting it after all. Question though, can you remove the helmet or does it sticks with the armor?

Good job, although I prefer it's original look SANS Cerberus Logo.

Looks great! I have two questions:
1. About the armor itself, I could never get clear info as to whether this armor consists of pieces (like the N7) or if it is a single piece armor (like e.g. the Collector armor)
2. About the mod, is it texmod or is it integrated via ME3Explorer?

@MrFob

It is a single armor piece like the Collector armor or Terminus armor.  I'm not sure what the OP is doing but I know there are several texmods for it already.

Ah, good to know. cheers mate :). If it's a single armor, I have to be honest and say that I am not interested in the appearance pack in the first place. Still, it's some great work on the armor OP.

You were looking to not have the helmet always on?  I believe it is possible to edit the coalesced and allow for that.  And the stats on it are pretty good but I understand apart from it looking it cool, its not really needed at all.

It's Ajax, not "Arlax", by the way.

I want to remove the helmet but I am not sure what to edit. I'm assuming it's the last one in the fullbodyappearances.

Ah thanks, I had a mild case of dyslexia yesterday.

Anyways, I'm having an issue removing the the cerbeus relief. I've edited it out of the diffuse and the spec so I dont know why its still showing up. I cant access the normals for some reason.

Here are the changes I've made in the textures.

-BODY-

*ORIGINAL*

*MY EDIT*

-HELMET-

I did the same thing with the spec/emissive map. I may have to cover the cerberus logo with graphic. I cant put N7 because Bioware just mirrored the body halves and didn't bother to change the uvs so one half of the body wasnt mirrored backwards.

I've grown to like the orange lights so I gave up trying to change them to Red. I did how ever give them a higher intensity.

The next step is to cover the cerberus logo on the helmet and make the commander strip muuuuuch bigger! Thanks for all of the input guys!

Remember to remove the relief from all the channels. If you are using CS5 or another version of photo shop just click the channels tab beside the layers tab.

I worked in RGB which means that all channels were affected at once. There was nothing in the Alpha channel so Im pretty sure its either in a normal or gloss map. I'll continue playing with it though.

I wonder, once you're done with the N7 version, could you make a steel grey, blue-glowing alliance version?

It's the normal map. Rempve it from all the channels and it should be smooth.

TexMod seems to have issues with ME normals, yes. What you want to do is set it to display the textures in the left corner, and then screencap the normal map with PrintScreen and crop it.

Change the output format to DDS under the logging mode settings and it should be able to do that. If you don't have the PS plugin that supports DDS files you can get it here.
