Are there any mods available that enhancement/overhaul/improve the over all campaign and expansions? I enjoyed Dragon Age Origins though I found the itemization was incredibly lacking; 99% of the loot in the game was useless and powerful equipment was insanely over priced to purchase.

There are several mods that rectify this deficit, but the best one is
'add any item visual deluxe' with which you can hack everything.
