With the Typhoon, since stability mod is pretty much mandatory, there's only 1 real mod slot. My problem with this is that I want more bullets, so if I go with incendiary ammo most of the armor damage I'm dealing is through the explosive burst, which doesn't appear to activate on each shot. That makes sense, since it'd be even more overpowered.
I didn't notice a huge difference between the two ammo types versus armor if I used the same mods; the time to kill was slightly faster against bosses with AP ammo, while smaller enemies died faster to incendiary. Since there aren't that many bosses, incendiary makes more sense and I'm just biased towards using AP ammo with this gun from my MP experience.

Then for the Typhoon, that mod almost useless. Good to know,capn233 wrote...
Incendiary Ammo is the most damaging in SP if you take Explosive Burst at rank 6 and use it on rapid fire weapons.UnknownMercenary wrote...
When I played around with incendiary ammo a month ago it didn't seem too effective. It is capped at 100%.MewtwoJosh wrote...
Is armor reduction capped at 100%? If the Typhoon already ignores 50% armor and you add a HVB, do you get 50%+90%=140% or does it stay at 100%?

It isnt useless. The Typhoon doesn't ignore any armor DR, it has an extra damage multiplier against armor and a small natural cover penetration bonus so in effect, with a mod like the HVB you would be getting 90% not the 140% or 100% cap mentioned which means you'll be doing quite a lot more damage per round to an armor target.MewtwoJosh wrote...

Yes. Sorry above, I just responded to the bit about armor piercing. You can't get higher than 100% armor piercing with stacks from mods or ammo. That comes into play with piercing mods + AP ammo.Nightmare137 wrote...

The only weapons with innate piercing are the projectile weapons. Those being GPS, Graal, Scorpion, Falcon, Kishock, Striker and Acolyte. They ignore armor DR, and so essentially have 100% piercing.

In this video is a level 60 Soldier, and I've been reloading this file constantly to play each DLC, but I want to try a full campaign with the Typhoon X so all I had left to do was Priority: Earth. It doesn't show off anything that anyone with a Typhoon doesn't already know about it, but I had fun making this. Soldier Shep feels like a walking turret of destruction again.

I was bored a bit of multiplayer and decided to load up singleplayer again.
