Atleast for solo play, as I see it. 

I have played the game since the demo and I soloed quite a lot. But I can't solo platinum, because I can't speed run it. When I soloed games before I always tried doing it as fast as possible, make it fun, energetic, full on action. But it's not possible anymore. 

Through out all the patches, all the staggers and critical hits have been removed from bosses, Tactical cloak became adrenaline rush and doesn't make the player invisible to enemies. Some of the enemy attacks have been tweaked to have such a reation time that shots can't be dodged anymore by skillful kitting in open spaces. Stronger enemies are basically bullet/power sponges, and you HAVE to waste time to kill them no matter how good you are. 

I used to solo Gold in under 20 minutes too, but I can't do it anymore. And it wasn't EASY 20 minutes, all consumables could end in 10 minutes, and I could wipe out, but now it isn't an option anymore. Seems sad to me. It was a fun rush full of adrenaline and peek concentration to complete solo runs for me, now it's just a chore that takes a lot of time.

I know, team play still is fun and works. Just saying solo speed running ( something I enjoyed ) is gone.

I haven't seen a solo speedrun thread in ages. Lots of 10 wave survived/goofy class/first time ones, but not sub 20 min solo runs.

I remember velaut saying that he wont attempt it because it is too tedious. To break the record he would have to use specific loadouts and play a lot of games hoping for the perfect objectives. it just wasnt worth the effort.

I didn't do it looking at the clock. I just enjoyed the fast phased game, as opposed to turtle cover game. I am sure I am not alone.

They're all sick of it as far as I know. I remember sy7ar replied to me in another thread saying he tried with Armored Compartments V but didn't make any particularly special times. It's mostly just luck with objectives at this point.

Yeah, I'm pretty done with it myself. I don't like playing for good objectives and I just feel like that it's run it's course by this stage of the game.

Of course, if you have fun with it I don't really see what's stopping you from trying OP, even with the new stuff in the game.

Solo speed running is probs dead. Team speed running people still try. Or like random speedy timings with random class/weapons

I tried a few solo speedruns before Retaliation but it was too frustrating as I was always getting poor objectives. I tried one after the DLC using armoured compartments but it didn't seem to make much difference.

I'm still working on setting and breaking some console team speedrun records, when I'm not playing the game on PC that is.
