MULTILINGUAL HELP NEEDED The how to say 'Don't go to the LZ at extraction' thread
#1
Posté 22 novembre 2012 - 01:27
all with one thing in common
at least 2 people per game would run to extraction on wave 11 and a murder festival would ensue. To go and revive or not to go and revive???...
so I guessing I need to learn how to say it in
Russian
Malaysian
French
Italian
Spanish
Chinese (sure one fella was chinese)
Japanese
German
Scottish
any language will do
so if you're an over educated type or just happen to speak another language add your translation here.
ALSO
any other useful phrases related to MP you can think of
'behind you!'..., 'I just nabbed grenades from that box'...etc...
please help me out...I've taken to speaking like Dick Van ****** doing a murderous impression of the Queens good english, when playing in opposite end of the world lobbies because I think it makes me sound more friendly.

Don't bother. Most of them won't listen to you anyway.

- Don't go to the LZ would be "no vayas a la zona de aterrizaje"
- Behind you is "Detras de Ti"
- I just nabbed grenades from that box is "acabo de agarrar granadas de esa caja"
Any other ones you need? PM me if you'd like. I'm Mexican, native Spanish speaker

Go to google translate, when you translate, the option will often come up to listen to it being spoken. That should help
ever since it told me where to find some hippos I don't use it anymore.
it was a very sad day.

That would be an OK way to ask people from Argentina or Spain... anywhere else it's a very rude way to ask. I would use "No vayan a la zona de extraccion todavia";)

Fixed.
"Agarrar" only means "coger" in some countries around America: in Spain, "agarrar" means take and keep holding something, and it really sounds weird in this context; "coger" is more correct in this kind of action.

non andate nell' area di estrazione (maybe too literal) or non accampatevi nella zona di estrazione
wait last 20 seconds --> aspettate gli ultimi 20 secondi
run now --> andiamo adesso
use rocket --> usa quel c...o di missile (important)
there 's a phantom behind you --> guardati le spalle
i need some Russian translation

Now, the "right" version : "n'allez pas dans la zone d'extraction, merci"
EDIT : oh the BSN censors French bad words too, apparently

- "N'allez pas à la zone d'extraction" (phonetically: "nalley pa a la zewne dextracssion")
- "Derrière toi" ("deiriere twa")
- "J'ai pris les grenades de cette boîte" ( "gey pri lay grenade de set bwat")
It's probably not necessary though! Any french playing online will probably understand you if you just say it in english slowly enough, specifically if you have a tough accent to understand. A mild english or american accent(the ones most common on TV or movies) will usually do, a pronounced aussie, texan or scottish accent will absolutely not!
If you don't "eat" any syllable, it'll be ok.
