Had 2 weeks off work and thought I would have a Mass Effect holiday. Bought ME3 from Origin but thought can't quite remember all the decissions I made in 1 and 2. So do a full playthough again.

Mass Effect 1 was still great and completed in 10 hours. Though only doing main missions. That would be 4th playthrough of that game but still loved it.

Mass Effect 2 was awesome and completed in 35hrs. That was 2nd full runthrough of the game.

Mass Effect 3 was awesome too, Got to 12 hours through and defeated Cerberous headquarters and decided to go through end game with war assets saying I had poor chance. Finished it and went to left switch that gave blue light for the gun. this saved all the people on the ground. video showed Joker going through a gate so wondered what he was doing there and not in the main battle. other than that the ending was good but wished I could see what happened to all the people I had met in the game. What happed to Trayner? Garrus ect ect. My mistake was doing end game there as I started again where the game puts you (just before Cerberous Attack) but couldn't carry on as doing the end game made all else pointless after it. Also can't think what good the War Assets panel was as I did the end game with it saying I had a very poor chance.

I will run through Mass Effect 3 again though, (maybe in another year)  they are probably my all time favourite games. Just wish the end game made it show all I done had some effect in the end.

Yeah, seriously I can't imagine playing ME2 without the DLC, would be so short and poor quality without Arrival, Lotsb, Overlord, Stolen Memory, Zaeed etc

Don't play the extended cut, it's not what the Artists at Bioware intended.
If you truly want to see the true Mass effect experience don't use the DLC they made when they had a gun to their head.

Ditto.
I just couldn't get into ME playing a 2-hour-adventure.

we'll have to agree to disagree, i loved EC, was alot better for many of us than the original ending, but if you enjoyed the original ending to 3 more power to you.

Wow, just redid the ending with the extended cut and that properly showed what happend to most of the crew. So in total a great experience and awesome story telling from Bioware. Can't wait for Mass Effect 4 now so cant help wonder what that will bring.

I love doing this, I've done it twice and just currently awaiting the assault on Cerberus on my third run but waiting for Omega before I finish it

Done it a couple of times myself. I've played through ME 12 times, ME2 7 or 8, and ME3 5. Overall going through the entire trilogy and all the DLCs twice and plan on doing it again soon. So yea you can tell ME is one of my top 5 video game series that I love.

I just came on to say I'm going to start all again. The story is addictive I just can’t put. it down. Number of decisions I would like to change.
1 Rex on ME1 gets killed each time when confronting him. I would like to know how to save him.
2. Ashley Williams is saved on ME1 but gets killed by Garrus when confronting Sheppard thinking he's part of Cerberus.
3. Is there a way to save both Ashley and Kaidan in ME1.

If any know how to save these I would be grateful

Also I will change from playing default character and soldier so probably go for female version of shepard this time and pick another class when I start.

I tried to do a full run-through but some where on Eden Prime the Starchild pops into my head.

Then I cry

I'm dong this right as well, but I'm trying for a "bad" playthrough. So far Wrex is dead.

How did ME2 take so much longer than the other games? I'm always amazed at how different people's playtimes can be.

I seriously don't understand why so many people skip the side missions in ME1. I mean, besides the cookie cutter hide-outs, the characters you come across on some of them are just one of the many things that makes the first game better than its sequals. Helena Blake, confronting Nasana, Dr. Saleon, that d***head admiral, The Consort. And the origin side mission.

ME2 side missions are god awful and bland, and ME3's are just a round of horde on a multiplayer map.

You can save Wrex by either getting his family armor or by raising up your Charm/Intimidate. You can't save both Ash and Kaidan. In ME3, in order to avoid getting Ash killed during the Cerberus assault you would have needed to visit her while she was at the hospital.

This reminds me, the Trilogy edition for PS3 comes out in less than two weeks. Woo!

Huh? The ME2 missions have interesting looks and different terrain to fight over, and who cares where the ME3 maps came from? It's not like the ME1 side missions were any less horde-y
