...is one of my oldest.

Several days ago I was grinding away at the pistol challenge again when I stumbled upon one of the deadliest combos in my arsenal yet. The Geth engineer. It's an all around great kit to begin with but once in a while you just hit that magic combination that makes you wonder why you didn't try it previously.

The build is nothing truly special. What is special though is the weapon used with said badass: Eagle V. Yep. I said it and meant it. For whatever reasons I had always been partial to equipping this kit with the GPS and just rolling with it. But after my blisteringly fast bronze grind (go ahead and lol but grinding is grinding) I decided this needed further proving in gold. It did not disappoint and was utterly amazing.

The Geth, in general, make a lot of so-so weapons incredibly useful and while the Eagle is good on a number of kits it is outstanding with the GE. Even more so than the GI, IMO (the GI tends to shine with super high damage weapons). For one he can strip shields with overload, shoot the Eagle with a very nice RoF increase, and then cause a fire explosion seconds later. Let's not forget pitching the turret out there at the same time causing all sorts of havoc and distractions. It's a match made in destruction heaven.

Have you found any quirky builds by accident that exceeded your expectations while doing some challenges?

I only just unlocked the Geth Engineer two days ago, one of my favorite classes now.

I've also been using the human adept which is amazing, haven't touched the thing since the game launched wishing I had used it more often.

During Operation Valkyrie I decided to use the Eagle with the human engineer and I was really surprised with how well I did, it just felt so right. He's become one of my favourite classes to use along with the justicar.

The only thing I can say is try it. Played a few matches with a couple of guys that regularly post here that have seen the combo in action. It's not a joke.

I've been using the Gethgineer with a Mantis and Eagle recently. I like it.

The Eagle carries the stigma of being the worst Rare or above weapon besides the GPR. Problem is, it's been buffed just enough to undo some of the original, justified gripes. In the hands of a power based class, it gets the job done and is a nice change of pace weapon, which is how I like to use it.
Seriously, the Eagle/Falcon combo on a HumEng is pretty potent. Cryo or Disruptor rounds, Incinerate/Overload to set off combos, tremendous stagger/CC potential, and you can make even large packs of Phantoms dance your tune. The Eagle gives you a minor anti-boss capability, not enough to beat an Atlas down singlehanded, but better than some folks might give credit for. Pretty sweet, if you ask me.

Indeed. Although I will agree to disagree about beating an Atlas down. It's certainly not as quick as other weapons but it's not the slowest method either.

I am so bad with the gethgineer. the weakest engineer for me.

Best engineer is salarian without decoy. play geth (a must), wear an acolyte.

shoot -> incinerate -> shoot -> energy drain (fire explosion)

I love geth engi, I max out hunter mode dmg, fitness melee dmg, turret healing. Equip geth plasma shotty, shoot some as ya run in then geth bubble those f***ers to death >=D

GI does it like 100 times better.
