Agreed. The pain of getting that chanllenge done. The pain!

Its sound effect is also one of the most unpleasant in the game. That tinny whine, like an overextended wire... it hurts my ears.

You are right,sir.
3 Phantoms and Dragoon or group of Hunters and Pyros! Scorpion to the rescue.
Acolyte is better mano a mano or for stripping shields, but vs group of mooks,Scorpion is the KING.

 Edit.
I this old video you can see the Scorpion in action.
PS
That was before buffs to Kroguard.

I used the scorpion on my Geth Engineer.

Use Disruptor Ammo III or IV, play vs Geth, hit 3 different geth at 1 spawn with the scorpion, use Overload, watch them die :P

I've mentioned this before, but Scorpion should get a damage bonus you're facing away from the explosion. :)

I love it because of the amount of gibs it does, watching people explode into tiny bits and pieces is pretty hilarious.

There's already been explanations earlier regarding how to use this weapon so I won't reiterate. All I'll say is that if you don't think this weapon is a fantastic side arm then you haven't used it enough to learn how to use it properly.

I like it because enemies look funny with glowing blue balls on thier heads, or other parts of their anatomy
I try to put smiley faces on atlases, give guardians little blue pom poms on their toes and if you can get a team of friends to equip them too, these effects are multiplied to comic proportions. Geth with slugs stuck to the top of their heads look like they're having an idea

And lets not forget that with Christmas around the corner, we can momentarily decorate the maps between waves with twinkly blue lights.

Oh yes, and its nice to see body parts go flying....

I like to give enemies a bindi / third eye :P

I'm only a few K away from the 200 thousand with it

was quite easy...like the gun and the off-host issues seem less prevelant than pre-patch (same with the Graal Spike Thrower)

My -personal- favorite is still the time that I managed, purely by luck, to get a Scorpion grenade stuck to each ankle of a Phantom. She cloaked, she did a backflip, the little glowing grenades flip up with her feet like tassled pom-poms, and BOOM.

Even better than trying to hit a harpoon into each one of a Brute's hands.

Oh, it's a very useful gun in the right hands, I won't deny. I just intensely dislike the feel and sound of it.

It works very with the Novaguard.
Use your biotic charge, splash the ground with a few shots and then Nova . Its easily one of
the best weapons on that class.

This video completely explains your question.

Truthfully I haven't used it. I prefer Falcon to stagger groups as a support class and when I play a low-weight kit I prefer ULM on a strong pistol or just use the OP Acolyte.

Stagger and AoE damage. I rather regard is as a tactical option (like the Falcon) for my power classes or for those that seek more survivability in close quarters.

There is a thing with ammo powers and its ordnance. If you stick the rounds to a surface they'll explode instantly when an enemy is in range. If you stick it to their bodies, they'll explode with a delay. So it's usually better to "trap-shoot" them: Stick one behind them, stick one in front of them. They get staggered backwards and the first round explodes as well.

Ammo powers will apply their effect when they're NOT sticked to the bodies.

Try shooting the stuff on the floors and walls.
AP ammo is useless with this gun as I understand it.

It would be oh so great if it literally did that. I think That might be the best thing ever.

Had a blast doing the 200k required for the scorpion even though mine is only at level 2. Run into a spawn, mine the whole area with scorpion mines, win. Awesome for mooks, not so much for bosses.

Working on challenges I used it as my sole weapon with a non-Markmans Turian Solider. Scorpion + Proxy Mine spam was surprising effective and fun.

Are you trying to say that it's a good weapon?

I am Yes, its a very good weapon and even more fun when you put Cryo rounds on it as when u hit them they freeze so u can put another bullet on to them quick then watch the enemy explode. Its barrel loads of fun if set up right;)

I actually ran the Scorpion as a sidearm for U/U/G (goddamn Phantoms) before the Acolyte buff/nerf (depends on how you look at it). Haven't really used it since, but I might do so again eventually, its such a great gun.

To be fair now, unless you are good at pulling off shot at the feet, the gun has limited use IMO. You also have to have a decent understanding how each unit moves, or your rounds will be exploding air. A novice gun this isn't and needs practice with. Once you're good with it, then yes, it can be an excellent utility sidearm to stagger the likes of Phantoms and such. If you are new to this gun, good luck with Guardians.
