ME2 side quest didn't have dialog, it was just land on a planet, kill things on a linear path and get to the end of the level. That's it. ME3 N7 missions had dialog, objectives and a story, not random shooting. ME1 still has the best side missions though.Finn the Jakey wrote...
Re-using multiplayer maps and objectives does not count as an actual developed side quest a la ME1 and 2.
The only proper ones I can think of are:
-Asari monastery
-Rachni mission with Grunt
-Cerberus scientists
The Rannoch ones are important to the main plot so don't count.
Exactly . The rose tinted glases people have when discussing Crap Effect 2(aka Space Pokemon) never fail to amuse me.
It was basicly land, kill some mercs, and Press B to return...
And get some crappy mission summary screen at the end.

I liked the ME2 sidequests. Felt to me like I was really exploring the galaxy and when you found those quests you never really knew what you were going to get.
Obviously, it would've been nicer had BioWare provided full-on squad banter for each of these ... that's where ME3 made an improvement.
But the ME3 sidequests that were just MP maps ... felt lazy to me, even with the banter.
And that journal system ... absolutely terrible.
But still ... I won't hate on ME3 entirely. I genuinely enjoy many aspects of it. It just doesn't have the same resonance as 1 and 2 in my eyes.

Some of them were, but not all of them.
Grissom academy wasnt nothing more as a sidequests. Same is true for missions like Aralakh company.
And why this even matters? Its not that Mass Effect 2 sidequests maps couldnt be used for multiplayer if the game had this. A lot of them were short shooting galaries too.
And that journal system ... absolutely terrible.
Thats an understatement.

These missions did give the Alliance war assets but they also imparted mood and were part of the bigger story that was being told, giving you a sense of what was at stake in the game as well as trying to show the bloody reality of actual war. Its kind of alarming that people didn't seem to get that...Time to invade Poland?

Now you're just trolling. This is quite embarrassing honestly. If you're going to make a huge deal of your exit out of this place, than stay out. Don't crawl back in just to post petty crap like this.

And that would be true, but hey, I am "hating ME3 and Bioware for no reason" so my opinion does not matter.

Bro, you garner no respect by saying you're making your last post, and then repeatedly posting days later. It makes you look melodramitic and, as was mentioned, petty. If you don't like, stop losing your time over it.

Everyone who knows this have already left forums. Only fanboys stay here to lick Bioware ego in hope they will get discount.
Strange, I actually feel like it's almost the opposite: overwhelmingly negative posts with the occasional positive comment.

Opinions do not matter when you look at facts. Bioware f***ed up Mass Effect 3 and it's DLC's big time and alienated most of it's fanbase. ME3 situation will pop up every time Bioware will do something and most likely company will never recover from this deadly blow they put on themselves. Our opinions can differ on the subject of how irredeemable is this blow, but core stays the same. Of course there are also fanboys and Bioware drones which say that the game is perfect, but they are suffering from blindness and are not worthy of attention.
It is always good to have constructive debate with pro-enders who admit flaws of the game and defend it, while arguments of fanboys are just telling about their cultural immaturity and/or retardness . Most of the cultured people have already left and the relatively small ammount of left behind consist of anti Bioware crusaders whom I respect, but can't join and Bioware drones. That's why I decided to leave actively posting threads here and that's what I meant by my last opening post. Trolling fanboys is too enjoyable to leave behind, so occassional commentaries will appear.

Why is this thread not dead yet? There is no way to have any kind of discussion with someone who says "everyone who doesn't agree with me is a bioware drone", same as you can't have a discussion with someone who thinks homeopathy cures cancer and says "everyone who doesn't agree with me is payed by the pharmaceutics".
Care to read the post above your's?

Strange is, this rage. I expected exactly what EAWare made, i have no reason to even watch it on youtube - no lore-breaking nonsense, no idiocy, almost no garbage writing ME3 style(no story - just shoot things).Oransel wrote...
