It doesn't matter what you call it, as long as some of the things in that category are useful. Skyrim has a miscellaneous category, but those items aren't junk. Miscellaneous does include junk, but it also includes crafting materials and some quest items (other quest items are filed under weapons or apparel or books or whatever they happen to be).Allan Schumacher wrote...
I'm not saying that I'm unable to decide which items are safe to sell, I was trying to say that I don't need the game to spell it out for me.
Because the inventory is placed into categories. It's not a weapon, it's not a ring, it's not armor. If you'd prefer, we could call it "Miscellaneous" or something.
The problem isn't that you call it junk. The problem is that it is junk.
Why are we wed to lists at all? I would really like to see a return to a more efficient interface like NWN's grid.Or we could just have a huge list like KOTOR. That was popular!

I want the junk category to act like the recycle bin does in Windows.

Junk category is fine... Also, you should be able to move items to it. For example, you pick up an item you don't want and then right click, "move to junk" or something. Later you get to a vendor and sell all junk.

You can do that in DA2.
