That being said, I'd like a few more asymmetrical ones. The symmetrical ones all look weird to me.

People of Thedas, I guess. And the circus performer they call the Snake Man.

To me 'doing it right' would include not having tattoos on your freaking face. I mean, who does that?

A lot of people have them on their face in real life, doesn't make them any less of a person.

Right, right. Of course it doesn't. :innocent:LolaLei wrote...

Yea ok I'm being a dick, it's just not for me. I'd just prefer tattoos on more normal parts of the body that aren't the face. I understand it was problematic what with DA's generic body models.

- more (and better) facial tattoo designs
- Body tattoos (on the neck, arms, even legs, and hell, why not the back of the head for those bald bros)
- more tattoo designs that don't have to be symmetric to the face

I agree that I'd like the option to have body tattoos in Dragon Age 3 as well.
As for real life, stick 'em wherever you want. I'm certainly not gonna judge someone based on their appearance or life choices.

I mean in DA:O you could play a Dwarven Noble with a Castless tattoo. Or an Alienage-born elf with Daelish tattoos.
Makes all the sense, no?
No.

I have a wonder. Since tattoos are something that even today you have to practice for years to do decently and you have fancy machines and whatnot do the people of Thedas have abnormally dextrous fingers? Do they use a single hollow needle and make like a bazillion holes in your face? Who DOES that?
Tattoos have been around for centuries. Much longer than fancy machines have. It mainly takes practice and talent. Fancy machines help, but they're certainly not necessary.

A number of people. The maori, for example, made a bazillion holes in their face to show off their ability to withstand massive pain. It was a sign of spiritual strength and status.

Some people still choose to get those tattoos in the traditional method.

technically, you're not racist, but ethnocentric and culturally elitist.
and if your quote about only "the savage" valuing pain holds true, then millions of women who've endured childbirth have nothing special to offer, so you're sexist by default as well.
hope that helps clear up what a COMPLETE docuhe you are.
