guys, crusader is out, it's not a shotgun, it's a sniper without scope

It rather bugs me how some people can keep this attitude about things. It IS a shotgun. Yes it's behavior is like that of a sniper, but its still a shotgun. If you had passives for snipers and sniper amps it will NOT effect the crusader no matter how much it may be like a sniper. It is a shotgun. Just like the Eagle is a pistol and the Indra is a sniper.

Crusader if you get the hang of the delay.

That and it doesn't suffer from lag as much as Graal does.

True, it lags on its own!

fine then
it's a sniper without scope (even the weight is that of a sniper) that doesn't benefit from sniper boosts, that has  weird hit detection mechanics
and that use your shotguns boosts instead

The Crusader is the most accurate at range, but it weighs a ton and is annoying to hit moving targets with the delay.

The tracking on the GPS is really nice, but I always prefer the Wraith if I'm looking for a ranged shotgun. The Wraith is just such an amazing weapon.

Wraith is the only choice if you're going to use the Omni Blade mod that adds weight to the weapon.  It has great range and power and is lightweight so you can easily SS twice within a cloak cycle.  If you are OK with just using the normal melee mod, then the GPS is probably OK (or Graal if you're hosting).

Personally, I like to use a Talon with a melee mod and carry a light sniper rifle (e.g. Indra) as a 2nd weapon.  Your cooldowns will be pretty low, and you can engage the enemy at any range.

Crusader > Wraith > Grall / GPS > Eviscerator

the Eviscerator is essentially what the wraith is, just lighter, larger ammo clip, and less damage. easiest to get too. The Grall and GPS both has charge mechanics, but are incredibly accurate when charged and deal excellent damage. The Wraith is the Eviscerator's bigger brother and worth it. The crusdaer, if you have the skill to aim it well and remember that it shoots slugs, not pellets, is the most accurate shotty you can get atm.

lol, good spread of opinions, looks like I'm back to some serious weapons testing.

Seems like I'm on the right track with the crusader though, I'll admit headshots aren't my greatest strength, so the Graal may not be the best for her.

Won't be the GPS though, for some reason I just can't get that to hit a thing, I struggle to get it to hit an Atlas's rear end.

Long distance, crusader.

GPS, Graal, Claymore or Wraith are all great at medium distance.

If you're not overly fond on cooldowns, the Crusader's dps and accuracy is just astonishing IMO.

Graal on host, hands down. Ignores armor and the charged damage as well as the headshot multiplier are amazing.

This, by far. The rest of you people are crazy. Plus it's a Krogan spike launching shotgun. Helloooo.

*armor instead of ammo, excuse the typo. Also, good to see there are still lads who count the weapon feeling over the mere surgical damage.

In my opinion, it's a tie between the Wraith or Geth Plasma Shotgun.

The Graal's airtime-delay is horrendous, and the Crusader's accuracy is awkward.

Doing the Shotgun challenges at the mo, and the GPS has been my favourite so far, closely followed by the Wraith.

Depends. I really love the GPS, not that heavy, serious damage, range and slight homing as well. Note that it can't pierce anything at all(Mixed bag against Guardians and can't even shoot through light cover). All but the most power dependent are capable of using it. It might be bad if you are playing with a laggy host though, be wary.

I also love the Crusader. Fast RoF, huge damage and has sniper range. However, it's extremely heavy, big recoil while aiming and has a slight delay that makes hitting moving targets not in cover a serious pain.

Going off-topic now, because I got carried away:

I like the Wraith too, but for different reasons than the other two. My Wraith is at IV, my melee adept has 170% cooldown with it on. It's also noteworthy that I use both the +50 weight mods on it(The damage+pierce and the 50% melee) and still fire crippling Warps and staggering Shockwaves at fast rates. It's light, does good damage, can use the powerful melee mod but it's firing rate is sloooooow.

Piranha gets an honorable mention imo because on certain classes it is in fact still awesome. Light, big damage, fires fairly quickly and has plenty of ammo. But it has bad range and requires a smart choke, so you're forced to either switch to your secondary or close the distance with farther away foes.

Only because the new mods are bugged.

Wraith or Crusader, I list both because they play a bit differently since the Crusader fires a slug. Otherwise I would just list the Wraith.

1. Crusader (unless you have terrible lags).
2. Wraith (with smart choke).
3. Geth Plasma Shotgun (with two exceptions: shooting farther than target lock distance or against Cerberus - smoke grenades).

that is a L2p issue

If you can consistently land headshots, it does insane damage

you just need the feel of the gun's mechanics. If mastered, the crusader is an amazing weapon

now there is an arguement as to why use the crusader when you can use a sniper rifle. Faster reload times, and because a using a single slug shotgun feels kewl as hell

GPS if you don't care for headshots
Grall with choke and Crusader if you care for headshots and want sniper feel
Wraith and Eviscerator for casters and Vanguards
