Lock all the writers together in a room, and do NOT let Casey and Mac sneak off together under any circumstances.
Next DLC has all the DLC writers.

Must be IT DLC.
Sorry, I had to.
I hope it doesn't.
IT...great fanfic...dont want it in game. If BW breaks down and gives in to this...it will make them weak and seemingly incapable of originality. The fans that are all for IT will say BW did a goodjob...at the same time patting themselves on the back. They will also say BW NEEDS THEM. Everytime BW does something thereafter...people are gonna be all over them saying how THEY were the ones that saved BW from failure...and their products are crap without constant fan input and advice.
ITer here.
Bioware doesn't need us.
If IT DLC happens, it'll be because it was always planned. Has nothing to do with 'input' - it would just be explaination and elaboration of previous lines, character development, and plot arcs.
If IT DLC doesn't happen, *shrug* and move on. Bioware won't mean as much for me anymore, but my life isn't exactly ruined.
Bioware needs fans, but not any of a particular variety except perhaps those who love storytelling.

If the leak a while back is generally right, and the next DLC is to be Citadel oriented then...
We have at least 2-3 left. I'd say at least two. The Citadel DLC, and 'Rebirth' (the possibly oh so dreaded by so many of you IT DLC).
Not saying it'll happen though, but the next DLC may not be the last, but just the last of the year (maybe in January though). Very likely it'll be the second or third last.

I don't have a problem with the IT concept. I do have a huge problem with the game tricking the player, as opposed to the character. it is OK for the game to lie to Shepard. It is unacceptable for it to lie to me. The problem is that I see things which contradict IT that are not seen from Shepard's POV.
I'm not especially bothered by the end choice turning out to be fake;Bio's pulled that one often enough in the past that it's a little late for me to be bothered by this sort of thing.

I guess you mean the ending slides? Because here we are seeing things which are not seen by Shepard at all but are purely for the player's benefit?AlanC9 wrote...

It's a fair point. I guess the way fiction is presented to the audience is a kind of manipulation, but maybe that's one step too far in the deceptive/confising direction.
I think it's possible that the slides do show a kind of reality in each case (so they're not just made-up imaginary lies) but that there's maybe a sinister reality lurking under one or more of them.
Also, however, some games do have endings that were never intended to happen (because they'd already pre-decided on a canon), yet those endings are still explored and presented. Given ME3 was going to be the final chapter of Shepard's story, it seems less likely that they'd do this, but it is possible.

That's understandable.
I think, based on interviews and such from Casey Hudson and others, that they saw the ending choice as more of a reflection of ideals and morality in the player, instead of people 'falling for it'. We may, if IT is true, see how that plays out.
(I don't really see any High EMS ending in any horrrrible light, unlike many ITers. Synthesis will happen, but the Reapers' temptation is far too fast. Control is possible, but terribly dangerous and unwise.
So its not whether Synthesis or Control is wrong to do - its whether you should trust the Reaper God Child to allow you to control or synthesize with the Reapers...)

Thanks for this. I understand there is animosity, insults, etc on all sides, and I'd rather fans just tone down the actual fanatic behaviour and enjoy stories.

he was already on the Citadel. The Prothean VI tells you on Chronos Station that The Illusive Man has "fled to the Citadel and has informed the Reapers of your plans"Evo_9 wrote...

By the time he bumps into you, he is under the Reapers/Catalyst's control. The Catalyst is obviously aware that Shepard is aboard the station.

Either it means the squadmates will have dialouge or there will be a massive amount of plot in it.
All of which points to it being a good thing, since voiced squadmates means confirmed squadmates for the dlc and not silent or absent squadmates, and a more story dlc is always a plus.
This is pretty good news.

Will wait and see just what is done and if it'll effect the flavor in how the game ends.
If Shepard still has to commit forced suicide, and not at least die in dignity (refusal option aside) I will probably give this, as with the other DLCs, a pass.
If however, they can rewrite so that regardless of whether I play my Renegade or Paragon, and feel properly rewarded for the path I chose, then I'll pick up the other DLCs I have not purchased thus far as well, as it'll make the replaying worthwhile.
Would be interesting to see just where it'll lead to. Just, not going to purchase in trust.
Wait.
See.
Then decide if its worth buying to replay ME3.

Maybe we might see some romances since we got all the writers.
Ide hope not, if they've gone to the trouble of pulling in all the writers for this DLC, ide hope they'd be put to better use fixing far more pressing matters than adding romance content.
