well it can't because omega is 1.99gb and the max is 2gb for micosoft standards..

Gosh, don't even remind me. I'm a PC player and I can't get HD textures, HD cutscenes or HD anything actually because of consoles and even worse, this crappy limitation.

I wonder how much of the content they actually need to remove so they can make this DLC fit.
This Microsoft standard is such a BS -_-

That aside, it won't stop Bioware from advertising it as bigger or EA from upping the price.

I know right? It's downright retarded to be suffering for limitations set for consoles. One of the reasons I got a pc instead is that I didn't want a closed platform, but we're still being punished for it. At least if they added mod tools the modding community could create graphics mods but that seems to have been a big no no for bioware lately.

On topic: If the writing staff for that dlc includes whomever wrote the ME3 main plot and ending, better not count on the story of that dlc to be any good...

Well, the majority of players do prefer the IT to the EC. Food for thought at BW HQ.

You know this based on... based on what?

I know this based on the big survey a couple of months back, taken by 11,000+ people. Search the forum for details of where to read the final report.

You're not being 'punished', just not being rewarded. And why should you be rewarded by developers for playing on a system that can create all kinds of compability problems due to its very openness? Easier to make games for standardized systems.

so weekes said on twitter something to the effect of dlc "finished" now on to bug testing now I don't know how long it takes for these sorts of things but could that mean it'll come at the end of the year? or early january

I believe he was refering to Omega because its been "finished" for several weeks and is in (or was) in certification with Sony and Microsoft.

If they announce a new Omega-Like DLC (SP - story based), then they probably would not announce it until several weeks after Omega is out, which would most likely mean a release in January or perhaps much later.  Only guessing of course.

If they're really that advanced with developement (as the tweets would indicate and Raphael Sbarge already recording new lines weeks ago), then perhaps January release is possible. Would sure hope so, then we have some chance for that final 4th DLC in late March/April

Maybe it be as massive as the upcoming Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim?

Maybe it just has a lot of squadmate banter. Seeing how Omega has none, perhaps the next DLC will make up for it. Then again, maybe it's the last SP DLC and they just wanted to bring out all the stops. Wouldn't surprise me a bit.

It's not necessarily a sign that the next DLC will be lengthy or complex story-wise, but more likely because many characters will be in. So, many writers are needed to give the lines and scripts for specific characters, and that doesn't mean that their presence and their importance will be significant either. I do have hopes that it could mean that the next DLC they're working on as a big writing team is going to be the most ambitious or audacious yet... but I won't hold my breath. To me, so far, it just means that perhaps there's going to be a good number of characters involved at some point and that many writers were called in because of that.

I still have hope in bioware, Maybe this is the DLC we have all been waiting for. Also if it is say bigger then 2GBs they could two piece it. Like a to be continuned or idk if microsoft allows this (doubt it) they could make it 2 downloads and just split the price in have say its 1600 two downloads for 800.

The Bankrupt DLC, in which BioWare announces that it's gone AWOL and will soon cut ties with EA.

Good ending (and closure) for everyone!

Enough jokes on my side.
Anyways, I wonder if there will be an explanation on why the catalyst didn't open the citadel in ME1...Maybe some foreshadowing added for synthesis? Or maybe what happened to the old crucibles!
Oh I am curious if any of these will be answered.

So if the next DLC have all writers, maybe this DLC will be bigger than Omega ?

Leviathan is bigger than From Ashes, Omega is bigger than Leviathan.

So... We must wait for januray for more information ? I guess in january, because in december possible another MP DLC ?

I'm still standing by my theory that it's either Xen DLC (she had a very involved questline on the Citadel which even included debriefings from Hackett in the original script), or it's some kind of Epilogue DLC.

At least that would be more interesting than securing things we don't need or talk about stuff we already know about.
