I could handle that,  but what I'd really like to see is Bethesda completely out of the picture.  They're so creatively bankrupt,  so completely unable to do anything other than TES,  that they really shouldn't be anywhere near Fallout.

I mean seriously,  Fallout's strongest characteristic was it's dialogue and non-combat solutions,  two concepts Bethesda has absolutely no understanding of.  As evidence,  I give you The Elder Scrolls,  a game they're made what?  5 times now and haven't yet figured out how dialogue works and haven't yet managed to implement any kind of non-combat gameplay?  Minecraft is a better evolution on the TES model than Skyrim is.

VGA's! I'm hoping.

Seems like a realistic enough guess to me...

Personally I'm fine with Fallout3/NV's direction, they may not have much in common with the originals, but I liked them anyway.  If you miss the old ones too much, there's always Wasteland 2.

Yeah. Bethesda bought every single reviewer in the world.
*Sarcasm*

Notice that not a single PS3 review mentioned that "little" detail of a massive bug that makes Skyrim virtually unplayable.

Then ponder why that might be.

I do too, just sometimes I miss how they used to look is all.

Still though, I atleast want better third person.

Sorry then, but for me FNV is more of an expansion to F3.

Since the 2 games are almost completely unrelated, that makes sense.

They both use the same engine and use the same assets.

Since they're a part of the same series, that would be expected.

Morrowind and Skyrim are part of the same series. I don't see assets from Morrowind ending up in Skyrim. The engine in FNV remains unchanged to the one in F3.

Skyrim's third person is better than FO3 or FNV, so there's hope for that.

Take note of the time difference between Morrowind and Skyrim. Thank you.

That's hardly a problem for the PC gaming master race. I haven't tried it myself, but I hear that there's a pretty good centered camera mod you can download to fix the third person mode right up.

Take note that you said it should be expected for a full blown game to reuse mostly all assets from a previous entry in the series.Thank you.

Better third person? In what way do you mean?

Like higher resolution character models? As it will likely be a next gen title the assets will be higher resolution.

Take note that I didn't specify if I was talking about the creation of sequels in a certain time period. Thank you.

And to avoid getting this thread shut down, I'm going to stop arguing with you now.

Skyrim is an improvement but I don't think Beth's games have ever played that well in third person.

Fallout 3 is the greatest game of all time! OF ALL TIME!

Which is why I'm excited for Fallout 4!

I want FO4. I want it now.

But can it be Obsidian that handles it? Nothing against FO3. I had a blast in the Captial Wasteland but New Vegas was funner. It was more interesting. It had more layers to it.

I want to be excited for it, I really do, but if Obsidian isn't developing it (or at the very least handling the writing) I have very little to look forward to.

An expansion that is not only as large as but is also superior to the base game in almost every conceivable way and also has add on DLC that also flogs anything in the core game?

Wish we had more of those.

The first two are all but guranteed, but the last is wishful thinking at best.  If anything, Bethesda is going to make it more like Skyrim and less like New Vegas.

That is what worries me. There is nothing in Skyrim that I can think of that would  improve for Fallout least of all the perk system. How many outcomes are there for any given quest in Skyrim compared to New Vegas anyway? Even something as small as letting the Rangers in Primm know about their missing drugs is more open ended than the major quests in Skyrim.

I don't get it. Bethesda handled the QA for BOTH games why does Obsidian get all the **** for the terrible bug testing?

I'm going to be furious if Bethesda makes Fallout 4 watered down garbage.

I pray they let Obsidian make it.

I'd happily wait for Obsidian to finish PE before I'd let Bethesda touch FO4.

Of course it's not likely Bethesda would wait that long.

I can wait for Fallout 4 if Obsidian makes it. I'd personally rather have Fallout die than be ruined further by Bethesda. Atleast I have Wasteland 2.
