I don't mind that people hate on the Asari/Drell vanguards. Same with Drell Revis. lets me kill all things while everyone else aims their silly weapons from the 'safe' room.

I like all the vanguards, even the HV. The ability to recharge your shields to full every 2 to 4 seconds, while teleporting AND hitting 3 enemies with a heavy staggering attack is so powerful...

I play her as a sniper. 6/6/6/6/0.

Stasis everything, then shoot it in the head, Biotic Charge spawns and toss a Lift Grenade. She's great at handling mooks, but not so great at handling bosses on her own.

Everyone else in this thread is wrong, there is one and only one way to play the AV. This is the definitive setup. Listen up, scrubs!


Max Stasis. Don't bother speccing into charge or grenades at all, they're useless for you. I don't know what BW was thinking, probably the same ridiculous crap as when they decided to put phase disruptor (such a useless skill) on the Slayer. Utter garbage and noob skills.

Javelin for main offense, Typhoon for close-range backup. Ultrarares are the best weapons in the game, so obviously with two you're even better.

In my highly credible veteran experience, this is empirically the one and only true way to rock the AV. If I see AVs not using Javelin/Typhoon combos, that's an instant kick. Ultra-rares are super rare for a reason, guys, it's because they're the best, and two is better than one. It's like dual-wielding legendary-tier items in WoW, or something.

But yeah, you need the weight mods - heavy weapons also translate into higher damage. There reasoning behind the saying "heavy weapons".

Use Expert Package or the Engineering Kit in order to balance out your skillset as well as the expertise boost that Expert Package gives you (mild aim-assist, basically)

Best Vanguard? There really isn't one. One of the best things about the various Vanguards is that they each fit a different niche and style.

Personally my favorites, in no paticular order, are the Novaguard, Phoenix, Asari, Drell and Slayer.

My Asari has some fun with a Heavy Melee specced build.

A mock Novaguard so to speak.

Asari Vanguard is quality. Charge and grenade, Wraith to the face for anyone left . You can't go wrong. Such a pity lag is so deadly to her though.

can´t think of a more offensive setup for any biotic ... or is there one ?

Don´t forget ammo buffs though  - they can add some fun - like:
WwrrrRaaahhhsssShhh - like cyro, its very funny when everything turns into snowflakes:D

and to make everything "squishy" with warp ammo ... and ... and....Wwroooaahh - ups, thats not an ammo buff
