I like the Salarian. Shield draining everything in front of me and machine gunning them down while they dance and if I cant get em then someone else gets a shot at an unsheilded target. Doesn't always score the highest but makes a real impact on battle and chances of bringing home the credits(U know the stuff u cant massage your ego with but can use to buy great guns and upgrades). Great on bosses too. When fighting geth shield drain becomes a 'Death Ray' - is almost ridiculously powerful.

I think the best Engineer... Is a good player who uses an Engineer.

I have one major problem with the Salarian Engineer: why the hell is his decoy on quick slot 2? HE, GE and FQE all have their pets on 1. My engineer Shepard has combat drone on 1 as well (and turret on 4, but they can't both be on 1, obviously). Quite a lot of the classes follow the rule that if they have a non-offensive power, it's on 1 (e.g. TC, tech armour, the exception being if they have more than one non-offensive power, obviously, or for vanguards charge is always on 1 of course).

I was playing the SE earlier for the first time in a long while, and I kept redeploying the decoy when I meant to use incinerate.

Oh how I wish you could remap quick slots in MP like you can in the SP.

All engineers are excellent, to be honest. One of the best classes in the game.

It depends to me on the game strategy which you use, because all of them are all good and fun to play with.

When I need a marine or tank, the Quarian male, salarian, demolisher, or vorcha does well
When I provide support or artillery, its the turret and drone users and volus.

Need a weapons specialist? demolisher
Tactical feedback? volus, quarian male, geth, drone users.

Tech armor is, by its very definition, a combined tech/biotic power, so any kit with tech armor is automatically a sentinel.

Of course, if you consider the point of sentinels to be that they can synergize with both tech and biotics, then it's true, the human, Valkyrie, Paladin all miss the mark.

In my personal opinion the demolisher is the strongest engineer, and I think one of the strongest classes in the game period.

I run it with a Harrier and either war fighter package or grenade capacity... You never run out of grenades. Throw one arc grenade and then sweep up with the Harrier. Armored unit? throw a homing grenade, use a clip of the harrier, then homing grenade again.


I have never had less than 130,000 k points with this character. Easily topping charts everytime.
