Ok, we played a game with Jay, and he outscored me. Was pretty hard to find something to kill. =)
However I believe that I myself would get even lesser score in that game were I to use Jay's build.
The thing is, Jay possesses phenomenal accuracy skills, so if we compare the 2 of our builds:
In my build the powers kill and are the main source of damage. In Jay's build 99% of the damage is done by the harrier, and the powers are there to just assist the gun play, such as throw staggering a boss or a mook, or Stasis making phantoms more vulnerable to fire. ( never seen stasis used on anyone except the phantom through the game ), warp was used for a debuff on armored targets.
As I do not posses Jay's awesome accuracy skills, I would do pretty badly if I were to follow that build, it is a lot easier for me to aim projectile shots such as the acolyte and powers.
That is my conclusion of the game.
Yes, that is exactly what I meant. Your build is by no means bad and it is usable on any difficulty. It's just not the best of all.
It might be the best way to use AA for you. (Maybe also for me, by the way). But in this game, nothing using an acolyte is getting the upper hand over something using a harrier and being used by a skilled player.
Sad truth to me, as powers are what makes this game different from other shooters... But still, the truth
