and yes I am a Reegar user.:innocent:
Reegar carbine is the epitome of an ez mode noob cannon.
This exchange is over.
If you need to use a weapon which require no aim and does stupidly high damage then I don't think I need to discuss anything further, I consider myself above reegar carbine users.
Call me arrogant, but I don't play things which I deem too powerful and don't require sufficient skill. GS flamer build when compared to a weapons platform build requires much less skill.
Though, I also play melee fury, so aye.
.........................you play grenade spam batarian/krogan, and you play melle krogan engie of destruction, how are those NOT powerful/a chaallenge?

1. Tank build, no flamer, with Hunter Mode, GPS & Javelin, Collectors Giant Gold, 10 waves survived, no consumables used (first try)
2. Flamer build, with Hunter Mode, Acolyte and Cryo Rounds (btw the first video on this forum using that combination I believe apart from my previous Vorcha Flamer Gold Duo with Acolyte and Cryo), Reapers Ghost Gold, 10 waves survived, no consumables used (first try)
After these videos my teammate HardcoreSalmon made a Platinum solo against Collectors with the tank build and got 10 waves survived.
Thing is, for players like us, this is easy mode, but for players who are not used to solo Gold or Platinum it might be very hard to do it with a flamer build since it requires to much close quarter combat while enemies have ridiculous high DPS.
If I would share my opinion for a real easy mode (even though it might take longer) it would be to skip flamer and put hunter mode on. The problem for most players is not to kill enemies, it is to survive, and Hunter Mode makes it a lot easier to survive since your spatial awareness gets a lot better.
With the tank build you can use 2 heavy weapons to kill things fast and easy and you don't have to get too close to the enemies like with the flamer (cause most players will die from it on Platinum). Also it allows you to take shield recharge instead of power synergy on Fortification, combined with the Stronghold Package you have insane shield recharge which will help you survive a Platinum match much more easily.

Geth Flamer Builds without the Acolyte. Too many builds depend on it as an essential.

Everything is easy to use. Especially for PC players with medigel reload cancel. To suggest using only weapons is somehow more difficult than using powers in addition to weapons is clown talk.

You needed to post in both the youtube comments section and this? I mean ffs, it's titled "How to solo Platinum (easy mode)" and you expected something else?
The acolyte is good, and if you don't like it, use something different and dazzle us if you must. Otherwise, he did a decent job of showing people how to complete Platinum solo, as easy as possible.

This was also my fist gold solo, I never really cared to even try to do it.
Objectives were pizza and elimination twice.

Sure. I think you are a master soloer, my issue is more that every Flamer build I see requires an Acolyte.

If he used a different weapon, it wouldn't be easy mode. That's the entire point of this post.
